Gender Poll for BFPs using SoftCups and/or Preseed

Hi girls,

If you got your BFP using Softcups or Preseed, please answer the poll above with the gender of your baby. I'm curious how much they sway.

Thanks!! and Congratulations!!

I had a miscarriage, but we know the sex because of genetic testing so I voted. Hope that's ok.

Yes, I appreciate your vote, and I'm SO sorry for your loss. Both products are said to sway towards boys, so it's interesting that the one and only vote at this point is a girl.

Good luck for a healthy sticky bean next time!

Thank you so much. Very kind of you. Fascinating about swaying towards boys. I didn't know that.

I'm confused as to how a softcup could sway in any direction of a gender though. It should be the same chances either way ?

If its true, I may stop using them as I want a girl.

its supposed to be because the softcup holds them up against the cervix. since the boys are smaller and faster they have the advantage of getting more of them to the egg quicker. there is less acidic area from the vag walls that they have to navigate through. the girls are bigger and slower, but can live through the acidic part better so a mooncup is supposed to sway girl by holding them further down.

preseed sways boy cuz of the ph level. its optimal for boys to stay alive in. the sylk lubricant has a more acidic ph so is supposed to freeze up the boys giving the girls a chance to get there first.

of course there is always the chance of having either!

ditto what blessedmomma says, but also, just in general anything that aims to help with conception will sway boy. deliberately trying to sway for a girl will reduce likelihood of getting pregnant each cycle. that's not to say that you can't have either gender no matter how hard you try for any particular gender or how oblivious we are to how the sways supposedly work. but the general thinking now is that products used to help with conception sway boy (except for clomid which sways girl very slightly). there are lots of people on this board who are just trying to get pregnant using anything available to them, and have girls, so it's not even close to 100% either way.
