TTC After depo injection

Hi guys im new this this site

Im 22 years old with a little girl called Alexis shes 3 years old since she was 6weeks old i went on the depo injection i never had any bleeds at all during it, the only bleed i would sometimes have was when i was coming to the end of 12weeks...Me and my partner decided we wanted a baby so i decided to come off depo as i heard it can take a while for my body to get back to normal.

My last shot was beginning of feb 2011 so would have run out in may 2011 my period began straight away and iv been regular and coming on beginning of every month...theres been a few times where in the middle of my cycle when i wiped there was blood but put a pad on and there was nothing what could this be?

Iv been doing ovulation tests but all coming back negative im so confused

Also how long has it taken for people to concieve after the depo as i read alot of things lik it can take up to 2years to concieve...is there anything that i can help hurry getting pregnant? like take tablets??

please help xx

Hey hunny! I was also on the depo shot, last shot in march 2011. I was on it before back in 2008 after my 1st was born, & it took me a year to concieve my 2nd. Ive learned 1 thing though that has been helping my body get back on track now & thats taking a multivitamin, 2 omega3 fish oil tablets, and a b-complex tablet everyday. After the shot I had in march 2011 I actually became anemic from having 3 periods a month. But after it finally started wearing off, I now have a regular 30 day cycle, and the tablets deffinately did help.

Thanks hun, i know iv only been trying for 5months but want to hurry things along, i think i will take some vitamins to help with it too

That would be what I'd do. Since taking them, my body has been feeling better and ive been trying since about 1 month ago when my cycle got regular. I think it really helps, plus you got to have vitamins in your body to make a baby (like prenatal vits)

My Depo ended may 31st. I just ovulated yesterday for the first time. Here is what I did:

I tried BCP for the month of july,and stopped beginning of march.

Soy isoflavones CD5-9
POM juice as often as possible 8 oz/day(to help thicken lining since Depo can thin it,preventing implantation)
Spinach leaves(thicken lining)
multi vitamin(nothing special)
And walking thirty minutes a day(to increase blood flow)
I tested twice a day with OPKs until I got my positive.

My last Depo shot was on January 30 2010. My period came back on December 4 2010. I have been off of Depo for 22 months now and nothing yet. I have learned though that I have a luteal phase defect which is very common after coming off of Depo. I'm going through testing right now, but my doctor says that it can be fixed with prescription drugs. Clomid and Progesterone. After I get all of my tests done then I think he might get me started on that.
