I attempted Metformin and lost a bunch of weight, I was VERY sick on it then we moved to try Avandia and I gained a bunch of weight. I am currently trying Clomid to get pregnant. I have ovulated and I am hoping for the best. Might be something worth trying! I am praying for you! Dont give up hope! I am trying to take that advice myself. If you ever need a buddy let me know!

I could ALWAYS use a buddy. I will be praying for you too. As well as every single other person on this forum who wants a baby. It kills me to see all these stupid people having babies when they abuse them or treat them badly and then people who would be amazing parents can't. So heartbreaking for sure. I am nervous about the metformin because she told me it might make me sick and with going to school I can't afford to be sick.

Thank you I totally agree. I personally get so upset when people who do not deserve to be parents (there are these people) get pregnant so easily and those of us who have tried and tried and tried and want to be parents so badly cannot get pregant. Its very discouraging. Explorer all your options for sure. Clomid has been working well for me. I have ovulated with it which is a big step. Although I never attempted to become pregnant on metformin it could be a great option as well!

I hate when people are rude about things that aren't their business. I'm a stay-at-home wife (mid- bachelor's degree, but on a break), and for some reason people think that means lazy.

Women fought for the CHOICE of being in the workplace or home. They didn't fight so every woman had be in the workplace.

Anyone who runs a household knows it can be a full time job.

And we were TTC a month before we got married, when I was still 21. It's not up to your Dr to judge your age, she should focus on your health issues.

My SIL & BIL both work soooooooooo much even though they have little ones ( a boy, 2.5, and a girl, 6 months). My MIL said SIL had to work 6 days in a row, and her little boy was crying for his mommy while MIL babysat.

I'd rather be a stay at home wife/mom and see my kids. If DH and I decide that me stayig home works best for us, then who is ANYONE to judge?! ...but I run into it all the time, just the same.

I agree, I could have done without the judgement while hearing such heartbreaking news. And yeah, I am in school to be an elementary school teacher so I will never have to worry about that because my hours will be school hours and my summers will be open

Oh sweetie!! I know just how you feel when a doctor looks at you and questions you wanting a child. When i got my implanon out the obgyn that did it said are you sure you want this out now, I feel your much to young to be trying. And now because she's in the same clinic as my new obgyn they always quote her notes. Which annoys me a ton!!! The last time i saw an obgyn i was 2 weeks late and kept getting BFN and i was so frustrated and he looks at me and says are you sure with your epilepsy you should be trying to have a baby has your neurologist sanctioned this.. I was like a non ya and b your not my normal doctor and i'm not here to get your opinion on me trying for children so nanana boo boo.. Like I said my sister has fairly bad pcos and she didn't go back on bc when she started the metaformin, and honestly i'm quite confused as how that would help you start being regular.. because you don't have a cycle on the pill you have a fake period.. The pill works by making your body think you are basically pregnant that's why you don't ovulate. I would question her and possibly get a second opinion or just not listen and just try with the metaformin. but oh well lol.

I say all four of us become ttc buddies I really like talking to you ladies we have so many in common experiences.

Totally agree with you. Make sure you find a great doctor who will strive for the same things you want and will work their hardest to help you. There is a great website that has a list of doctors who specialize in endometriosis and pcos. I'm going to try and remember the website. I wish you were in my area I have an amazing doctor.

I could use a buddy or two .

I agree that it seems odd to put someone on BCP, when there is a med (Can't remember the name ) that makes women get their period, so they can then start clomid...but I am not an ob/gyn. I still might get a 2nd opinion.
