Girls, I have a dilemma. I have a gyn appt on Thursday for my annual check-up. BUT, I'm ovulating sometime this week, quite possibly on Thursday and they tell you to abstain from sex at least 24 hours before your pap. But if we're having a bunch of this week, won't there still be some left inside that would skew the pap results? I don't want to have to abstain this whole week from when this week is very crucial!
Um. that is a dilly of a pickle. I know that my dr asks if I have had sex within 24 hours, and makes a note of it so if there is an abnormality, she can have an idea of what's going on.
I would call and ask the nurse
Thanks....I really don't want to miss the appt butdon't want to abstain from either. UGH! I think I'll just see what my opk's say...I can always re-schedule. I'm having really bad O cramping so I know ovulation is just days away! And with any luck, maybe my next appt will be both an annual and a pre-natal.
