Well...i had the 5th jab on 20th february and stopped my HRT (Livial) on 5th of March as instructed by my consultant. From then on, up until last week i was in absolute hot flush and night sweat hell. It was just like when i had the first month of zoladex without the HRT. My guess is that the HRT got out of my system a lot sooner than the Zoladex.

I wonder how long my AF will be. However, it's just nice not having drugs in my body for a while actually and to just be meased up old me with crazy hormones, crazy ovaries and all the rest of it!

Thanks for your reply! X

Good Luck Becks88! It sounds to me like you are having a delayed reaction of the Zoladex. Best of luck to you. I'm still getting the hot flushes and night sweats! And that is more than 4 months after the Zoladex should have been out of my system!!! Best of luck thinking of you

I'm hoping every day AF comes back! Although I'm scared of the pain that might come back with it...

Help

I had my last laporoscpy on the 22nd of May 2012 and on the 25th May had a zoladex injection. i was suppose to go again after three months but something in me said not to go. It is now January 2013 and I have still not had my period. My boyfriend and I really wanna try to have a baby again and I am now panicking becouse I haven't had my periods since. How long would it take for my period to return?

Hiya yeah period did arrive 7 days after my Zoladex in Feb last year but then nothing till may. Prob due to my PCOS. However, i bled all way through having Zoladex, was a total waste of time for me. I was later put on Norethisterone by fertility consultant in July as had not had a period for months and then onto Metformin in August to regulate AF. I'm now 9 weeks pregnant with number 1 after 1st IVF cycle. If you're worried talk to your Dr!

maxhobho - I have been in the same situation as you with that feeling of panic. It took me 9 months for periods to return after my first Zoladex injection (that was supposed to last 3 months). I did a lot of research and found that there isn't much clinical data about this dose in endometriosis treatment, and that periods can be delayed. I say trust your gut instinct and don't have another injection - if you have no periods then it's a sign that the Zoladex is still active anyway so you may not need it. When my hot flushes stopped, I also started to get some CM and then my periods came back a few weeks later.

Becks88 - congratulations!! you don't know how happy I felt reading that you were pregnant as I was feeling so down and it really gives me hope! I'm hoping to get referred soon and hopefully get fertility treatment, but I worry about the waiting times on the NHS!

Aww bless you thank you very much! It's still early days but we had a viability scan at our IVF clinic a week ago so I am gueesing our little jumping bean is still ok! It was amazing to hear the heartbeat of our at the time 12.4mm baby

Well we were referred in August from NHS hospital and then started IVF on 7th November, once you get your foot un the door at the clinic it goes crazily fast.
Don't give up hope, I still can't believe i'm pregnant it seems too good to be true and it will be you too soon!

Thanks Becks88. I'm really excited for you!! I see my GP this week and going to ask (insist!) on getting referred to a fertility specialist. Then I guess I wait up to 3 months to see the specialist before I find out how they can help
