Just feeling pregnant...

I have pcos and have had 1 child before, but not finding out until I was already 10 weeks along. This time we are actually trying for a child and so I am crazy about peeing on sticks all the time. Because I have pcos, my period isnt regular at all, but I am paranoid that I will miss almost my whole first trimester again if I don't pee on sticks all the time.

Anyhow, I have been just feeling pregnant the last few days and took a test the clear blue digital test and was disappointed to see that it said "Not Pregnant" on it, so I popped that sucker open to see the strip and there was a light blue second line.

I was wondering if anyone ever was pregnant and the digital test just couldn't pick up on such a light line. I have read on the internet that all clear blues have 2 lines and such, but the other ones i used last month of theirs had no second BLUE lines when I popped them open, only a grey looking line.

I have no personal experience with those tests but, sadly, from what I've read you should trust what it says on the front and not what the test strip looks like. However, hopefully it means a true positive is coming soon. Any idea when you ovulated?

Hi hun,

If you search in the preggy tests section you will find loads on this; the strips inside the digi tests are so sensitive they pick up LH as well, hence why you will nearly always have 2 lines (or 3 in the case of the ones with conception indicator) depending on your LH level.

I have done lots of digi tests and always had 2/3 lines in them and not been pregnant. The difference between them and the ones when I was actually pregnant is massive - the lines are very dark.

On the plus side digis aren't sensitive so if you think you are pregnant then get a more sensitive test like a FRER, SD or ASDA and test with FMU.

Good luck xxx
