i was quite down yesterday, thought i was going to see OH then didnt then a friend told me that she was pregnant again (she LO was born in Oct) and shes having an abortion as the timing isnt great for her

WTF! Use a condom!

I know for her its the best thing to do as each time she gets pregnant she gets dehydrated and has to spend most of the pregnancy in hospital but still, take precaution if you dont want another baby yet

shes the only person who knows im ttc so it shocked me the way she just told me

That was a painful episode of your friend, it would upset anyone who has been TTC for a while. I am glad you are dancing in joy now.

i cant be selfish in my thoughts, she is doing what is best for her, which i do understand

you are not being selfish, the point is about prevention. If she dint wish to give life to another baby, she'd rather try to avoid getting pregnant.

she was the one that told me last year how much more fertile you are when you have just had a baby

you;d think she would have prevented it - this is her second abortion in 3-4 years

Im sad to say, but that makes her seem like a totally irresponsible woman.

when she did want her second baby it took her 14 months to conceive

but then again, her doctor told her she had a "3 hour window" each cycle - how bad is that to say

I am surprised how frequently we find docs who are so crude and insensitive. Aren't they suppose to be human too? I am happy for her that she has all the kids she has ever wanted and hope she does her bit to prevent more disasters.

thats why we have to remember that their "general" practitioners and not fertility specialists

yeah i hope so - she has two gorgeous LO's and her OH has a LO from a previous marriage
