Introducing myself, again.

Hi,
I am kinda new here, I originally came to this forum last year.
Me and my partner found out we were pregnant start of October last year.
Just after 12 weeks I had some bleeding, and at my next antenatal appointment we found out I had a miscarraige.
Our pregnancy wasn't planned, but our baby (nicknamed 'Baby J') was very much loved from the start. We still have our down days and moment of greif, me much more than my partner, but we have decided to start trying for a baby.
The next part is tricky. I have been lurking for a bit and am wondering if you ladies could help me. I have no clue about how to go about conceiving. I mean I know HOW a baby is conceived, obviously, but I am wondering more about the timing and frequency, etc.
Thanks in Advance!!

Well you can get ovulation predictor test off ebay or amazon and you can start taking them around cd 11 or so until you get a positve which for most women is around cycle day 14 and it means you will be ovulating in 12-24 hours. You can also temp with a basal body themrmometer which tells you when you ovulated and can also be something to identify pregnancy. If you need to use any kind of lube walgreens and target sell preseed which is about the only sperm freindly lube you can get i would also start taking a vitamin if you dont already Good luck hope you get pregnant soon

Cd means cycle day! So the 1st day of your period is cd1. So for example I have and 28day cycle. Currently on cd3 x

I'm so sorry for your loss hun. I hope you get your sticky soon.

I use OPK's and do BBT (basal body temperature). A lot of women have trouble with BBT (I did, it took me almost a year to buckle down and do it) because it seems intimidating and like a lot of work. Honestly, it's just taking your temperature every morning at the same time before moving around or anything, and throwing them in a chart like FertilityFriend.com . I mean I still don't totally get it so I ask ladies on here for help (: My husband and I every other day usually until Ovulation is confirmed. And I use preseed and take a prenatal vitamin already etc.

Do you know how long your cycles typically are?

I wouldn't have a clue, I have always been really irregular. The doctors thought I had polycystic ovaries, but found out start of last year i was misdiagnosed. I guess I'll just start try charting, and see how it goes???

Thanks sooo much for your help, i feel a little bit crazy now

Hi hun, so sorry for your loss

If your periods are irregular, it might help you to go by your CM (cervical mucus - discharge) to get an idea when you are ovulating. A lot of women get a different type of CM just before and during ovulation. It is called EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) and it is called that because the appearance / texture of it is like an egg white... usually pretty clear, stretchy and slippy feeling. If you get a bit between your thumb and forefinger it will often stretch a good inch or two.

If you see EWCM, it's a good indication that you are fertile and are about to ovulate. If you keep a track of what your CM looks like for a couple of cycles it will give you some idea what to expect in future cycles.

Good luck
