Help with CBFM! experts wanted! :)

hello!
This is going to sound SO stupid but I forgot to reset my CBFM this cycle on cd1. I am on cd 12 now and I know I cant reset it past cd5. my monitor starts asking for tests on cd8 which if I reset it, will ask me to test in 3 days from now. I O late so there's a good chance I wont have O'd yet until 3 days from now anyhow... Should I do it and risk it being off and recording some crazy information?
It already thinks my last cycle was 48 days long (which it wasn't) so the recorded data is already wrong..

will it screw up the machine to do it??
I could just wait until next cycle and continue using OPKs but I would rather not do that since I have gotten wrong readings off OPKs before and the CBFM is much more reliable for me.

anything think it will work?

Thanks!!!

You can re-set it but you will lose all date from previously cycles. Personally, I would wait until your next cycle to set it.

Seriously? All the data? Just by setting it as cd5? Good grief!

If some of the recorded data is already wrong, then if you set it to CD5 you know that the cycle days will be wrong on it for this cycle too. Then it'll be even more skewed for next cycle! Personally, I would set it to CD5 now so that it can detect your peak, but if AF arrives for the next cycle I would reset the whole machine and start afresh. If that makes sense! Fingers crossed you won't need to use it next cycle

I would just use ordinary opks for this cycle.

Dont know what to tell you or whether it will screw the machine up...but i ll tell you that...i was pg so when i found out i switched it off end of story. Then mc at 6+5 and turned on the cbfm like 3 weeks after that. It was on day 87 when i set it back to 1! It missed my ov cause it didnt ask me to test before day 10 but i knew i had ov because of cm. i still went on and tested with cbfm every morning and it just showed a high every single day until 15 days later i got my bfp!!point of story???you will probably not get accurate data in but in my opinion it is not difficult to read the sticks even if you dont even feed them in the machine!

Thank you guys
Chistiana- so sad to hear of your mc.. Big hug! I lost mine too at 11 weeks amd it is just heart breaking... But congrats on the current pregnancy! Yay!
I think I see what you are saying though about it confusing the machine. I might have to just reset it properly since it already thinks this lat cycle was 47 days.
I did reset it to cd5 yesterday as I'm doing the opks but they are negative and I had an u/s that shows one huge follies that is about to O. Dr thinks today or tomorrow. But the opks aren't picking up on it.. I might not get the chance to use the cbfm.
Anyhoo. I think my machine is already confused... Total reset at next cycle might make most sense. Hopefully I won't need it next month- good point bunny boo! Thanks for that!

Thanks for all your help you guys!! So How long has everyone here's been using their cbfm? Do they like it? I really like it, it is so helpful!

Wow 2 out of 3 ain't shabby! Ive been using it for 12 cycles with no luck but like you say- things are different now that I have had the surgeries! and Im on clomid this cycle too so Im very hopeful.

I go in tomorrow for an HCG shot if I dont get my LH surge. The follicle is really hurting so Im welcoming the relief from ovulation!
We will bd for sure- Dr has us on a schedule! not as 'fun' as we had originally hoped but at this point I would do anything.

A biocornuate?? wow, so you had the surgery only to find that they couldnt do anything? I would have been SO mad... that surgery was painful! well, I suppose they just sewed you back up? Oh, I cant imagine..
Well Its wonderful that you are pg!! is this your first? do you know what you are having yet?

The septum can really affect fertility so i bet now you ve had it resected it is really going to be a different story! My surgery wasnt abdominal it was via hysteroscopy (vaginally) and i was put under general anesthesis so i didnt feel any paib except for the discomfort for 2-3 days later. I wasnt mad at that point cause that do (if you can call him one td me that everything had gone great) i got pg 8 months later and changed docs so with the first scan the new doc said "ok i see you have a bu" i was like wtf??no it was a septum and i had it resected. Good thing is stupid doc gave me a dvd of the surgery back in the days so i showed it to my new doc. Half day later he called me up to tell me the procedure had lasted about 3 minutes because i soon as he started cutting he realised it was all uterine muscle and not fibrous parts so he simply couldnt cut anything out!i considered sueing him but i was pg at the time and didnt want the extra stress. After i had my ds i couldnt bother but i ve been badmouthing him to everyone ever since!!!!
Anyway i m getting all worked up!!!i m sure the health system there is way better than in stupid greece where we have to pay even to get a simple anti flu prescription and i bet you will catch that egg in no time!!have fun tonight hun, i know all the programming kind of kills the mood but there s plenty of time for pure fun afterwards!!!xxx waiting for your news!
