Anyone ever experiance OVULATORY BLEEDING?

Hi ladies,
I started, for the second cycle in a row, mid cycle bleeding. Googling has led me to believe it is "ovulatory bleeding," as I am scheduled to ovulate this weekend. I have been taken OPK's to confirm this, and my lines are progressively getting darker...

I just wanted to see if anyone has any experiance with it. I unfortunately don't feel comfortable having sex while I am bleeding, even if it is a small amount.

When should I time sex in order to maximum my chance of getting pregnant? Is this something that is normal, or should I talk to my doctor?

Any advice you could provide would be fabulous.

Thanks in advance

I have ovulatory bleeding, but it relates specifically to the follicle bursting, not like yours. I've heard some women have it in relation to fluctuating hormones, but personally that makes no sense to me. Unfortunately, this is all I can help you with. Good Luck, I hope you get your answers.

I think for it to be ovulatory bleeding you would have already had to have ovulated - like kellysmom said, it can be from the egg literally bursting out of the follicle too hard. There is also something called midcycle or breakthrough bleeding that's due to the drop in estrogen after ovulation, before progesterone has the chance to rise up to prevent breakthrough bleeding. I think it's a sign of low progesterone though. Have you ever had your hormones checked for that? Both scenarios would occur after ovulation though, so you either missed it, or the bleeding it due to something else. Might want to have ti checked out though

I have experienced the exact same thing this month, I began to spot very light pink on CD 15 and it got slighty redder CD 16 pink again CD 17 and brown on CD 18, it was only ever spotting though only very slight need for a panty liner between trips to the loo. I'm hoping it's a sign of O for me as we have covered all bases in regards to BD'ing, before during and after my spotting so FX for us both

Thanks ladies

I know that I haven't ovulated, because I've been tracking very closely this month. My OPK's are soo close to being positive, so it will definitely be sometime this weekend. If I don't catch the egg this month though, I definitely am going to talk to my doctor... it's so strange that in 24 years it just started 2 months into TTC. Go figure!
