I went to my doctor today for nausea and dizzyness that just started over the past couple weeks. Sha gave me heartburn medication (which she gives me on every visit that has anything to do with stomach problems) and told me that I had an inner ear infection, and gave me a print out explaining everything. she did this all BEFORE she even examined me. Now I had ear infections all the time as a kid, so I know what one feels like, and my ears don't even hurt on bit.

She did ask if there was any chance that I could be pregnant, I told her that idk because my last period wasn't normal, and all she did was note it and said oh well some women just aren't regular. Which since starting metformin almaost a year ago my periods have been pretty regular, a day or 2 off. Plus when they come on I'm really crampy, and bloaty, and moody as all hell, and there are normally tons of clots. this time though it was different, the first say it started out pinkish then turned to a dark brown-red color for one day, then I just had brown spotting for 2 days.

Idk, I'm kinda feeling like my primary doctor is against me having a child, so she just keeps putting all possibility of it off. Shes been like this since I was put on prenatals after my misscariage last june. My OB/GYN put me on them because my OH and I don't use protection cuz we both want a child down the road, and neither of us would mind if it happend earlier then we originaly planned. I'm just really beginning to lose my faith in doctors.

Is it possible for you to find a doctor who actually wants to help you achieve a baby?

Your doctor does not have the right to tell you how to live your life and when to have children. Her only obligation to you is to help you make health concious decisions for your body and that's it. I was 17 when I fell pregnant with my first child. My husband and I were married when I was 3 months pregnant. He graduated college 2 years later and we have now been married about 5.5 years. We have 4 children and are currently TTC #5. I was able to continue on to college while having my 4 children and am now a senior at Texas State University. I was recenty accepted into a graduate program for my masters...it CAN be done, and she has no reason to believe otherwise.
Hang in there and hopefully a new doctor will mean a new perspective.
