Cervical mucus help

What should I be looking for when checking cervical mucus? I looked last weekend and it was a mix of clear and white. I don't know what I'm looking for... Someone please teach me?

Hi,
This is going to be a bit TMI, but here goes .................................
Every girl is different, but with me I usually start getting cervical mucas about 3 days before ovulation. The 1st day it looks likes clumps in my knickers and feels wet
when I wipe after having a wee

The only way I can describe it as, it looks a bit like snot and a bit darker than egg yolk colour. It then looks lighter in appearance the 2nd day and much more 'stringy'. The day before ovulation it is very very stringy and I feel very 'wet' down below!!!!. It looks clear in appearance and stretches between the tissue. A couple of days after ovulation the cm turns white and drys up. Hope this helps. Sorry if it was TMI !!!!. X

what about if egg white sticky CM, what does that mean? I'm 5dpo? xx

I checked today and it was like mostly clear with some white creamy bits and stretched a tiny little bit then broke. Whats that mean?

Did it feel kind of watery? Or was it thicker?

Yeah mine is different i don't get too much really "stringy" ewcm but more watery and makes me feel really quite damp !! Then i get maybe a small amount of the stretchy stuff.

Are you approaching ovulation? Watery cm is fertile cm!

I have no idea. My periods arent regular. We do it every day just incase i ovulate

My advice would be to check it daily throughout the cycle (even when you know your not Oing and you'll get to learn the different changes and what it should look like. Good luck!
