Good luck. Remember, healthy food doesn't mean it has to taste bad. Get to know spices and seasonings. Healthy eating will be great for your baby too when you get your bfp.

Healthy eating usually tastes better! Its just getting out of the bad habits and stopping being lazy.

i have. it's close to eating clean except you don't eat wheat or dairy right? i cannot do that! i love my bread, pasta, milk and cheese.

It's eating very clean! You cut out grains which is so much easier than people think, but I know not everyone wants to make the sacrifice. It's all about fruit, veggies, meat, and seeds. Yes, you eat fat which is something your body needs.

good for you! that's amazing. i looked into it, but not for me. it was hard enough to give up processed foods and sweets. (i was a sugar junky) maybe in future, once i'm used to eating clean i will look into it again.

its really important before you get pregnant to eat fruits and veggies that are dark on the inside, not the skin. its also important to drink milk thats 2% -non fat, eat grains, beans, brown rice, drink juices that are fortified with more than 100% vit c, usually in the 120% range. hansens makes a really good apple grape. nom. lots and lots of water.

its good to have all of these things down before you get pregnant because when you get pregnant you're only helping yourself by staying on this kind of diet.

i've also read that having only 1 lean animal protien a day is good and to limit red meat.

if you're eating frozen foods, they have to be processed one in order to have it be frozen, and the freezing process is well, a process in itself. when you get it, you have to process it again before it hits your stomach so you now have lost 3 times the nutrients you would have if you would have made it on your own or eaten something raw, excluding meat.

I don't really know anything about a fertility diet, but these are the things I've read, the programs my area puts pregnant/ women with children on, to make sure everyone is healthy.

I wish you luck. its hard to make a change, but it can also be fun! looking up recipes isn't hard, i go to tastespotting dot com and i usually don't have all the ingredients for what the recipes call for, but you can substitute what you have.

For me its not so much the sacrifice, because I have done a diet like this for many months, its more health. I ended up severely underweight and with many health related problems. XXXX

,
It all sounds good. When you read the book it all sounds very logical really, not anything groundbreaking in it,but it does remind of things and make you aware of others. Its true what you say about frozen food, I have been eating a lot of it lately and its just full of sugar fat and salt, and no nutrition! XXXX

SO, I have finally started. I got some of my healthy shopping. I got some oatmilk and some organic muesli for my breaky. I got some brown bread and wholegrain pasta, some organic tomato ketchup and some organic treats like biscuits and that. I also got some fruit and veg and plan to buy more next week. At the moment I have some butternut squash soup cooking (my favourite) and I have been crunching on some oven roasted nuts (need more protein). I am not going to go cold turkey on sweet things or chocolate, I will have some, just not much and with meals, and try to have organic quality items. I have been eating A LOT of chocolate so its going to be a big change. I am also sipping my green tea, second day today, see if it helps when I ovulate (I am only CD 5 today)

On the other hand I am going to go back to my mindfulness exercises, which will help with stress and tension and stop me from living so much in my mind which happens a lot when TTC. Oh and by the way, there is an interesting post in the 1st trimester section about what women did different when they got their BFP, many talk of diet! So have a look

Really?! I'm gonna check that out right now. I've been hoping change in diet will get me that bfp.
Good for you calm! The first days are the hardest. You could try sunbutter too for a protein source. I love that stuff! I couldn't give up chocolate either and don't believe it's necessary to. I just switched to dark chocolate and eat in moderation of course. Another great option for a chocolate fix are vitatops. They have a deep chocolate flavor. It is so good it feels like I'm eating chocolate cake!
