10 months should I go to the doctors?

Hey ladies well weve been trying for about 10 months now and still havent had any luck. It is so frustrating and I dont know what to do. Should I talk to my doctor about trying that long? Would they even look into any tests or anything even though we havent been trying for a complete year? Thanks in advance!

I know my doctors make you wait the full year. In some areas they make you wait longer provided your not over 35 xx

I've heard the same as Toots4 - that you should wait a full year unless you're over 35. I can totally understand wanting to go early though!

I think the doctor will just tell you to come back in a few months. are your cycles normal? have you watched the great sperm race?

I went to my doc after 6 months and was very surprised when he sent me for blood tests and a scan, cause I'd also heard this thing about waiting for a year before they'll do anything.

Alternatively, just fib a bit on your TTC start date! You're so close to the year anyway and I'm with you, I'd be so frustrated (I AM and it's only been 7 months for me!).

Are your cycles regular? Cause if not, then I'd go immediately and ask for blood tests at the very least - I think that's why I was referred so quickly, because it's been over 7 months now and I still haven't seen my cycle since coming off the pill

Thank you ladies for all your responces! This has been such a frustrating journey and im just ready to get some answers! Its especially hard because weve been wanting this for the past 2 years but because of the navy we havent been able to try every month.

So for the ladies that asked about my cycles they arent very regular and can varey quite a bit! They vary from about 30 days all the way to 46 and my last cycle was 50 day :/

So even though we havent been trying the full year I think I am still going to go in and talk to the doctor. The fact that my cycles vary and tend to be long makes me think that my body has a hard time ovulating or im not ovulating every cycle. So I think I am going to go in and talk to the doc and worse case sdcenario is they tell me to come back in a few months and best case scenario they actually look into it.

Thanks again ladies!
