A lot of girls on here use OPKs (Ovulation Prediction Kits). Or things like the clearblue digital fertility monitor. Or the other option is to track your basal body temperature. You should use the special thermometer for that (it has more decimal places). Generally "they" (whoever that may be) says that you should ovulate right in the middle of your cycle. So the first day of your period is cycle day 1. And you would just divide your cycle in half. Although every one is different so that's not a very accurate guess.

Or you could always just dtd every other day or so if you don't want to deal with charting and temping and testing GL!

how accurate are those opk's? are they complicated? how much do they boost your chance of getting pregnant?

I think the accuracy depends on the brand. But a lot of girls rely on them. I think they are just as easy to use as a home pregnancy test. You pee on the stick and wait for the line. I think its something like, if your line is as dark or darker than the control line, then you are about to ovulate. The reason it boosts your chances is because knowing when you ovulate, or about to ovulate, it tells you when the best times to dtd are so you have a much better chance of catching the egg vs just guessing. I think there are entire threads on here dedicated to how to use OPKs and temping. Hopefully I've helped some!

There are also supplements that some girls take (evening primrose oil, honey & cinnamon) I can't really speak to those as I haven't tried them. A lot of girls also monitor their CM and CP (cervical mucous and cervix position)
