Well a quick recap of my story. On the 17th I had 2 positive frer and on the 18th I had another positive frer that was darker. Started spotting so went to dr to have blood work. Called later that afternoon to tell me my beta hcg was 5.56 and progestrone was .19. Not pregnant. Okay the next day spotting continued woke up this morning bleeding heavier and cramping severly. Was suppose to go get levels checked again. Well called nurse and she said not to come in its clear there is no pregnancy. I c0later called her back because I am just so confuses as to how I had 3 positive hpt and im not pregnant. She tried to explain something to me but I just don't understand what she is saying. She said anything over 5 in beta hcg is pregnant but she said all women have 5.5 beta hcg and don't get pregnant at some point in there cycles. She said that if my progestrone would have been much higher then the beta hcg would have probably been in the the high thousands 72 hours but the progestrone is way too low. So did I get pregnant at all even if for an day. She never would say she just keep saying its normal to have 5.5 hcg in blood everyonce in a while I don't understand.....why did I get 3 very positive hpts. This isn't fair.

I know im not pregnant now and have no hope this month but it would answer alot of concerns my husband and I have if I did in fact get pregnant. My husband only has one testical and has never had children. We were going to give it a try for one year before getting him tested its been 8 months until I got a bfp so if I did get pregnant then he works. Just leaving with some answered questions.

It sounds to me like it was a chemical pregnancy. I had the same thing last year, 2 positive tests and then 3 days later af started and tests were negative. I asked my dr. About it and she said there's really no such thing as a false positive, but chemical pregnancies are very common. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

Okay so does a chemical pregnancy mean the sperm fertalized the egg but my body didn't accept it. ...

From what I understand, yes. I think it means it just didnt implant properly, however I'm not an expert on the subject. But I think the fact that you had 3 positive tests shows that you were pregnant. The most sensitive hpts won't pick up hcg until it hits at least 25 or above.

Update ... went to see dr he did more blood work and ultra sound. Said he didn't see anything in uterus and I wasn't tender which is a sign of eptopic pregnancy being tender. Said he didn't see any blood in the abdominal cavity. Which is a goos sign. He said my bleeding isn't heavy enough for misscarriage so he wants to see if hcg hormones have doubled. Will call me tomorrow.

Hi everyone im new to this and a bit confused..some help indeed would be nice. So this month I missed my period spotted 3 times w mild cramps, every other day my breast felt sore and just out of curiosity this morning I took a ovulation test and was positive ..is it possible that I Canberra pregnant???

Well I guess anything is possible im going through craziest thing I ever heard and even my doctors don't know what to tell me. I got my results back today for my second hcg beta my first one was 5.56 and yesterday it came back just over 10 doc said he believes a miscarriage is what is going on because numbers should be in high 100s. He said he doesn't believe its tubal because tubals usally have high numbers that rise slowly. He told me to continue on with my weekend like normal and come back for more blood work on Monday. The only thing he could tell me was that it just an abnormal pregnancy. He said my hcg was up and so was my progestrone but it was still too low. Has anyone experienced this I really need to find ladies who have gone through this.
