I posted this in the TWW area too...just hoping to find someone with the same issues...well i was diagnosed a year ago with Hypothyroidism....my thyroid level was at 64...which is WAYYYYY off...need it to be 1-2 when trying to conceive...well ive had issues since with levels going down then back up...ive never missed a period..but ever since ive been diagnosed this will be my 2nd period ive missed...they are always like "its your levels...they will cause you to miss your period...!!!!" GRR! well back when my level was 64 i never missed but now that its at 3.9-4 im missing! doesnt make since! so anyways...my period was due on the 12th and it still hasnt shown...went and had my thyroid tested friday and it came back at 4.050...which back in January my level was 3.9 so the doctor uped my dosage...so that doesnt make since on why it would go up after 1 1/2 months of uping my dosage...so they uped it again...AF still isnt here so i think ill take a blood test on friday to make sure and maybe get my hormone levels checked as well.....anyone else with thyroid problems have this type of trouble??!
i was born with it. my levels have always been in the 1-2 mark but my last was 3.95. i never miss any periods. just thought this might help. going next week for bloods to see if i have got it back down with my upped dose. quick question, how much are on, i take 175mg daily
i am on 150mcg now as of yesterday...i have hashimotos also...which is what causes my hypothyroidism...this other lady said shes never missed a cycle either...but doctors are telling me this is why im missiing!!! if my level was 64 and i didnt miss why am i now at 4??! has your doctor tested you for hashimotos?
no, i was born with it. my mam, nan, auntie and cousin (who was aslo born with it). we all have it. i am only 22 so lucky i have age on my side. i did get preg when i was 16 but that ended so i know i cn get preg, but how long it will take
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism since I was about 18 and I'm now 29. Generally it has been well controlled, just a few adjustment of doses needed over the years. I have missed periods in the past but I recently found out I have PCOS. When doing some research, those with PCOS tend have higher chances of having thyroid issues....Its all linked somehow...
So, if you haven't already it might be worth seeing your doctor as to whether you may have PCOS. I don't want to panic you though...it could just be one of those things. I know when i'm stressed my periods don't show either. Hope this helps.
