How long should I wait to ttc after miscarriage?

Hi I started to miscarry last night and obviously I know it's too soon to start ttc now how many cycles should I wait? This is my 2nd miscarriage since November. I miscarried at 3 months on 10th November and due to a blood infection the bleeding didn't stop until 27th December, although I didn't actually realise I was pregnant until November 15th as was on the pill. I then got my next period from 25th - 31st January and haven't had one since. I should've been 7w5d on monday but baby was only measuring 6w3d without heartbeat. I started miscarrying last night and I know it's too soon to try again but just wondered if the miscarriage may have something to do with becoming pregnant again so soon? has anyone had a healthy 3rd pregnancy without needing medical treatment and how long do you recommend I wait before ttc again? tia for any advice or answers

Im so sorry for your losses. You actually do not have to wait any cycles. You can TTC provided the bleeding has stopped when your emotionally ready. Most doctors tell you to wait 1 cycle for dating purposes. But i did a huge amount of research and there was no medical reason to wait. I miscarried on 15th August 2010 and found out on the 17th September 2010 that I was expecting again. I now have a 10 month old xx

I'm sorry for your loss. I also lost my LO on March 6. I quit bleeding about a week ago and I'm now watchful waiting on O... No waiting here.

May we all get BFPs sooner, rather than later!

I'm sorry for your lost. I don't have advice as regard to timing, but even if you do decide to not wait, I think it's still a good idea to see a doctor anyway to discuss possible reasons why you have had two miscarriages? That way if it's due to low progesterone or some other reason, you can do something to ensure that the third one will have a happy outcome. Good luck.

Seeing as your miscarrying naturally, your fine to TTC right away ,I agree that you should get some testing done to find out the reason for 2 miscarriages because you may be able to take some preventive measures to avoid another loss.

thanks everyone I'm at EPAU on Monday for scan to make sure it's all cleared so will ask about future pregnancies etc then. Also I haven't actually been seen by anyone as we called the EPAU and I said that I just knew I was miscarrying as I had the same symptoms as in November (loss of pregnancy symptoms, abdominal cramp and extreme lower back pain, followed by heavy bleeding although I haven't been clotting yet) and was told that as long as I feel i can cope at home I can stay here. Today the bleeding has lessened a lot and the stomach cramps have stayed the same, but I've been feeling really sick all day and dizzy with not much energy. Should I be seen before Monday to make sure there isn't anything that could cause infection as I had a blood infection from bleeding so long last time? this miscarriage is just completely different from the last one but I think it could be because I was 4+ weeks further along last time, although I never had feelings of nausea or dizziness last time. Sorry I know this is really long I'm just really not sure what to do!? xxx
