Early implantation - risk of miscarriage?

Hi!
I think I may have had implantation on 4dpo due to a very small amount of blood. I can't be sure obviously, and in fact I can't be sure when I ovulated either as I don't do temping or OPKs!! I haven't had a BFP yet (am 11dpo now, if I ovulated when I think I did) but have had lots of symptoms.

But assuming I did implant on 4dpo, is it true that early implantation can lead to miscarriage? I just found an article saying that if an embryo implants between 1 and 4dpo, there is an 87% chance it didn't do it's cell division properly and therefore won't have the right number of chromosomes, leading to an early miscarriage?

Even though I haven't had a BFP yet so I don't actually know if I'm pregnant, I had a missed miscarriage last September so that article has really worried me In fact the fact I haven't had a BFP yet is adding to the worry cos surely I should have by now if I had implantation a week ago? I'm panicking that if I am pregnant my hormones aren't rising properly cos there is something wrong with the baby, caused by the early implantation. I properly sound a bit crazy but due to my missed miscarriage I can't help but worry!

worrying is the worst you can do if you are pregnant. you ovulate around day 10-14 of your mentrual cycle, so 10-14 days after the day you started your period. how many days left until your period is due?

Hi,

Just wondered how you got on? I'm experiencing the same thing today. I had a chemical pregnancy towards the end of March and now am 4 dpo with bleeding again. So confusing!

if you haven't had a bfp by then - your bleed was probably ovulation bleeding not implantation. you really need to chart if you want to know when you are ovulating etc xx

Hi there,
AF came I have no idea what the bleeding was but it wasn't implantation bleeding. My period came right on time so I don't think I could have had a chemical or anything, as surely my period would have been late? However my period pains were terrible and I bled for about 9 days which is about 3 days longer than usual. Maybe my hormones were just being a bit weird! My boobs were also mega sore!
I'm so sorry for your loss I hope you get another BFP soon
