| A little inspiration hopefully to those ttc
Hi all,
I have never posted on one of these sites before but I just wanted to share my experience with those who have been trying to conceive for some time. Next month would have been my 18th month trying to conceive and I was certain that we were heading for fertility treatment. I'd always, naively, assumed that we'd get pregnant easily (there were no problems that I knew of in my family history and I'd always taken it as granted). After 11 months of trying we were referred for fertility tests by my dr - these bought out all kinds of worries and emotions but didn't show a problem apart from my periods being slightly irregular. This in many ways was more frustrating as I felt like the matter was unsolvable and out of our control. We tried to remain positive and in an attempt to be proactive I bought the clear blue fertility monitor. however, as I continued to use this I began to feel convinced that my irregular periods were a sign of one thing undetected and I was sure it was only a matter of time before we would need more investigations.
After 5 months however of using the cbfm we have finally got our positive pregnancy test! We are 5 weeks pregnant and praying for a healthy pregnancy. Couldn't be happier! I just wanted to share my story with others who have been trying in the hope that they will continue to keep trying. I know it's easier said than done and there are people who have been trying much longer than I had but the result is absolutely worth it in the end! Also, if you have slightly irregular cycles I absolutely recommend the cbfm - when I started tracking my cycle it showed that I never ovulated on the same day each month. The day I ovulated last month was day 25 and amazingly this was when we got pregnant!
Best wishes to you all x
