Need some advice on ovulation tests please

Hi ladies, I'm cd13 and should be ovulating anytime from now. Dh bought home the clearblue digital ovulation kit which I've never used before. I did a test this morning with fmu and just got the circle without the smiley face. Which means I'm not ovulating just yet, but my question is how reliable is this test? Anyone used the digital one before? Last month I just used tescos own where u judge if the lines are darker. Any opinons on the digitals would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance xx

Hi. I'm using the clearblue digital one. I think they are very good and reliable, but I begrudge paying a quid a stick. I'd get some cheaper strips off ebay. I'm starting mine when my clearblue sticks have gone. They're very cheap. £3 for 20 xx

I don't think you are supposed to use fmu for opks since the surge is typically later in the day...

I've heard that too but then other things say it's ok! Even on the tests. So confusing. Xx

Yeah. They're the kind you have to dip in a cup though and not the plastic ones that you wee on. But why pay more for a brand name when they do the same thing? xx

I used the clearblue digital ovulation tests and they were good, I read it is better to not pee for at least 3 hours and do the test between 2-9pm for the most accurate result. Its hard to do but I was always doing it in the morning and the first time I tried in the afternoon I got the happy face!( probably just a coincedence) then me and my hubbie went for it for the next 3 days, I even lay for half an hour with a pillow under my hips and legs up against the wall, after the deed. I used them last month although they are very expensive 38euros here in Spain but they worked, I just got my BFP yesterday in the first month of TTC. So they are worth the investment. x

Thanks, I am sending baby dust your way! I was shocked it happened so quickly. I already have a 4 year old who wasn't planned and after looking on the net and reading peoples stories I got a bit worried. I am happy, but it is different because it was planned and so fast, it doesn't seem as exciting as with the first where my husband, my parents were crying. Maybe its just my hormones or something. I have the doctors tomorrow so I will see how I feel then when he confirms it. If you read my other post about 2 smiley faces on the CBD ovulation test, I either ovulated twice or I didn't the first time and then I did the second time. When I got my second smiley face, we hadn't had sex in 4 days, but then we did the day of the smiley face. So I am still confused what actually happened in my body but it worked. Don't give up hope with the test, take a photo of the smiley face. xx good luck.
