Hi ladies
I wanted to start this thread as a way for all of us to post our good news stories after a long-term wait for AF after coming off the pill. We all know that AF is generally meant to reappear naturally within 3 months, but there are quite a few of us out there, who sit and wait past the 3 month mark and still don't see anything, so maybe start to think that something is wrong.
I was one of them. I went off the pill on the 28th August 2011 and waited until December before I started thinking that something may be wrong, because AF didn't peek in even once - not even a hint!

I saw the doc in February and had blood tests and scans carried out, but still nothing appeared. I started thinking I was broken

By the middle of March, I was starting to get frustrated that the docs seemed completely unwilling to give me any advice - I didn't necessarily want to pump any medication into my body unnecessarily, but I didn't even get any advice on what vitamins or herbal supplements I could try to boost my system back into a cycle. Everything I'm taking, I deduced from this lovely forum and from reading similar stories online. I was quite upset by it all, but didn't let it show too much. I started acupuncture and believe it or not, the acupuncturist has taught me more about what's meant to be happening in my body than the doctor ever did!
BUT.... after 7 looooooong months, AF decided to show - on April Fool's Day, no less!!

So she took 7 incredibly long and frustrating months to show, but she's showed completely naturally and has lasted 5 days
The supplements that I've been taking (but by no means long term, I've only really properly started taking them according to the daily doses for the last 3 weeks) are:
Vitamin C, Omega 3 Fish Oil, Agnus Castus, Dong Quai, Pregnacare Conception (both my hubby and I are taking this) & folic acid alternative days, Soy Lecithin.
So ladies, there is hope! Please post your good news stories here to reassure people like me over the past 7 months that it WILL be okay... everybody is different and it will take everybody's bodies different amounts of time to normalise, but it WILL happen... *positive thoughts*
