3rd day with a positive opk?? Is this possible??

Hi ladies advice needed plz, I'm cd17 and since Friday afternoon I got a positive ov test, then sat morning I tested again was positive so I thought from then on I'll do two tests aday til it fades, sat afternoon still a very dark positive and now again this morning it's blaring positive at me! Maybe even slightly darker than previous days. I didn't think they could get darker than they were! I thought when u ovulate and get the positive test u are only fertile during those two days. I didn't think it would go on longer than that? Does anybody ovulate for more than the two days? I've been dtd on the 31st,3rd,5th,6th,7th making sure I covered my fertile window but now I'm still getting positives I'm worried I'm not doing it enough or those times won't count? Am I being totally ridiculous? Plz help lol T.I.A xxx

Just out of curiosity, have you tried a hpt?

some people get positive OPKs when pregnant. Just thought it might be worth ruling out. AF can still occur when pregnant

I did a test the morning of the day af arrived was bfn then the witch showed her face 2hours later so don't think I'm preg Hun wish I was tho. I just didn't think u could keep getting positives I'm sure I didn't last month when I used them. Only two days last cycle

Not sure what kind of OPK you're using, but if you're not already, I would use a digital one--the one with the smiley face. They're more expensive, but IMO much better. IMO they work much better.

I'd be baby dancing, lol. Cover your bases!

I'm using the test strip ones same ones I used last month. I know they are def positive cos a few days ago the line was faint then gradually got darker I started using the cb digi but ran out of tests before I peaked. I'll just keep dtd so I'm covered! Lol I've checked on a few ovulation calenders online and they all say I should be ovulating today so my tests would be correct right? On all the calenders it showed I was fertile from the 3rd and I've bd alot from then til now so I'm hoping alls ok? X

It's normal. I had a 3 day surge last month too. Sometimes your body just has a longer surge, but it's completely normal/fine. My surges typically last around 2 days, but sometimes they're longer and sometimes they're only 24 hours long. Anyway, it's nothing to worry about it

Oh that's ok then. You normally only read about ur two most fertile days or window so now mine has come up on day 3 I was abit shocked. Although all the calenders online say I'm ment to ovulate today! I'm going to test later this afternoon and see what it comes up with then. Poor DH I told him he could have tonight off cos we been bding alot! Lol if we left it tonight and did tomorrow would it be ok? Confused! X

I think it would be ok, especially if you've been doing it a lot recently. If he has a normal sperm count then doing it every other day during fertile should be enough. Do you chart at all? If you start charting you can pin point the exact day of ovulation and don't have to wonder
