Period pain but late?

Hello everybody I'm new here!

I am in my first month of TTC! I came of the progesterone pill in October 2011 but my cycle is so confusing to keep up with! It seems to vary from 30-40 days atm. It used to be so normal before the pill! Anywho, this month I'm late (not by much) so am waiting a bit before taking a test. Just out of interest though, can you still get period pain even if pregnant? I have been going through the "menstruation motions" just nothing yet. Is it also harder to conceive with a longer cycle? I am finding it difficult to pinpoint ovulation!

Thanks

Yes you can. When I was pregnant I had a period like pain, very painful but it was just my baby growing. So yes, wait it out a bit longer then take a test x

Hiya and welcome to B&B. I believe you can still have those pains and there is also implementation pain but that would have happened before now. But I suppose it's what's normal for you. Do you normal have the menstruation motions?

I think a long cycle is not an issue it's more the regularity of your cycle. There are a few things you could do to start trying to pin point your ovulation dates.

Thanx I usually get period pain every month which is why I wasn't thinking I was pregnant but I'll just continue to play the waiting game. I used an ovulation calendar App which I've now deemed as useless. But fingers crossed, I'd be lucky being pregnant on the first month of TTC but I know it can happen.
