New here and looking for advice

Hi everyone,
My DF and I are TTC and we have both started taking fertilaid. I started 7 days ago, he started yesterday. I have PCOS and a unicornuate uterus. I'm hoping that these pills will regulate my cycles at least. Has anyone has good results with them, and if so, how long did they take to work? It's so frustrating to think that I'm broken and won't be able to have a child.

I wish I could help, but I know nothing about Fertilaid. I wanted to welcome you to B&B though. This is a great place for support.

Do u take metformin?

If u have PCOS doctors tend to prescribe Metfromin.

They start u off on a really low dose of 500mg (cause it plays havoc with ur insides)

I am on 500mg per day - started on the 2nd February got my BFP on the 1st of march and i am now 9 weeks pregnant after 2 miscarriages

If u havent got it i would defo speak to ur doctor about getting it, its for diabetics but works a treat on PCOS girls like me.

Anyway B&B is a great place to speak to someone going through the same thing.

Dont worry it will happen for u, just sometimes it takes that little bit longer.

Also use Clearblue digital OPK's i have used them for this pregnancy and my last and got pregnant the 1st month of using them, and conceive plus + lube is good better than Pre-seed.

L xx

I'm not on metformin, my doctor is sort of a hippie type and wanted me to try a low carb, low sugar diet first along with exercise to see if that would help me get a regular AF. I'm hoping I don't jinx it but I think that combined with fertilaid is working so far, I'm spotting. Fingers crossed for a good start and AF after not seeing it for 42 days.

I have to say mine has never been as long as that, I would see about speaking to another doctor because the first month of me taking it I was pregnant.

If the fertilaid is working that's good.

Also soy isoflavones are apparently natures clomid - expensive but I would give them a bash too x

I'm gonna give this stuff a shot for three months, and if nothing really happens with it, I'm definitely asking for metformin.

I do, but my fiance doesn't!! He's almost 8 years older than me and is definitely ready to be a father. I'm ready to be a mom, but I don't want to over-stress and lower my chances of getting pregnant even more! I just ordered some vitamins online that are supposed to help pcos, and hopefully they will help.
