I guess now i know??? :(

ok so we've been trying 2 years in june. i stopped doing all the charting and ovulation tests 2 months ago.
i started feeling really sick my boobs were so sore, kept feeling dizzing and light headed had back ache and really bad cramps worse then what my period pain would be like.
i did 3 tests a clear blue plus which came out with a plus striaght away it was faint but it was there, and two wilko ones which took longer to come up but there was a second line, i took them over a course of a week, and when i noticed they were getting lighter and the pain was getting worse, it kinda made me think i had 3 false postives in week, not sure if that is even possible.
i talked to my sister about it and she says she thinks it's a misscarriage.
i never went to the doctor about it as i felt silly going for something like pain.
plus my doctor would just say take painkillers.
i'm not sure if i did have a misscarriage.
if i had at least i'd know i can get pregnant.
i'm not sure what to think about it anymore.
i know it was 2 months ago but it's playing on my mind.

I am sorry for your loss. You said you've been trying for two years...have you seen a fertility specialist yet?

no, my doctor won't send me to one because all the test we've had have come back normal, he says theres no reason why it shouldn't have happened it. i havan't seen him since october november though so my doctor doesn't actaully know about the misscarrage.

Argh... get yourself a new doctor, STAT! Reading that has just made me mad! You should never feel on the back foot when it comes to your health and your doctor should definitely have referred you by now! I was referred for scans and blood tests after only 6 months - and I rely on the lovely NHS too!

So first things first... get yourself another GP and ask to be referred to your local health authority straigtht away - there's no way they should be leaving you to bide your time after this long! It could be something so simple! Has your doc even ordered any blood tests over these past 2 years?

Good luck!

P.S. I read your location as 'Northamptonshire', but I see that you're actually in North Hampshire - so am I! I went to the North Hampshire and Basingstoke Hospital for my scans and specialist appointment, it may be your closest one too?

False positives are rare, so it's MUCH more likely (almost guaranteed) that you were pregnant and miscarried. I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope you see more BFP's soon

it does sound like a miscarriage and not false positives, which are very rare... if you got 3 positives i doubt they were all false. i'm very sorry to hear of your loss.. definitely i think you should see about getting a new doctor. if it's been 2 years, "there's no reason it shouldn't happen" just doesnt cut it anymore. you deserve to be able to get real help from your doctor, not be told that you're fine when you dont feel that you are, and you should be able to get referred to a specialist who can help and perhaps put your mind at ease -- the issue might be something very simple and solve-able. best of luck to you.

they sent my hubby there to get his sperm test done july last year but because it came back normal the doctor would not doing anything else, he wanted us to wait a bit longer.

i had a scan before we start trying as i was getting pains all the time, that came back pco, but i had that scan about 2 years ago and that was when i lived in Havant.
my doctor here just keeps saying theres nothing wrong as both the blood tests i've had have come back normal.

told hubby i'm giving it till june and then i'm going to put my foot down and ask something be done or i'm changing doctors. i'm so sick of it just being push aside.
xx

Littlesteph, so sorry to hear! I'm curious if you were using blue dye tests? This happened to me too but I started spotting and went to the dr. She said they were evap lines even though they came up within 10 minutes. If it wasn't a miscarriage it was just as painfully sad as one. I will never do clear blue easy tests again!
