Wife is 2 days late but Negative Test

So I figure that others may have some helpful nuggets of information. Wife normally has 28-29 day cycles. The 29th day would have been Tuesday. She has experienced no AF, no cramps, nothing. She was nauseous last week, dizzy, couldn't eat certain things. Took the test yesterday (1 day late) and it was negative. However, no spotting, no discharge, no cramps (which ALWAYS precede her flow). Could she be pregnant?

What kind of test did she take? Was it an early one or regular? I would give it another day or 2 and test again with a FRER, if that's negative she may want to call her dr. If you need a little hope, my SIL got negatives until she was 13 weeks along, no particular reason they just don't work the same for everyone. Good luck - I hope there's a little one in there!

She might well be pregnant, but the chances are that she ovulated slightly later than usual. Most women have the odd month here or there when they don't ovulate on time. If you're not tracking ov, you can't know for sure. She could still be pregnant, but if she ov'd later then it might still be too early to test.

As needababynow says, some women do just take longer for their tests to show a positive, but I think it's quite rare. Good luck!
