Severe ovulation pain after coming off BC!?

Hi just wondering has anyone experienced severe ovulation pain/cramping after coming off bc. Had withdrawal bleed in feb then waited for first real af with arrived on cd43. Currently on cd25 and for the last 3days I have been experiencing severe cramps almost like stabbing pains down around my right hip/ovaries area. It's so painful. I had light twinges/cramps the previous 3 days before the pain became severe. I have been using cbdigital opks and - to yester and ran out. So going to use I/C for the next few days. I have noticed ewcm since yester morning however I am starting to worry about this pain. I wld imagine its my first time to O in 10+ yrs but I am starting to stress that something's wrong. Has anyone experienced this sort of pain before. I wld probably be due to O any day now. I don't want to go to docs unnecessarily! Really confused/worried that there's a problem.
I'd be grateful if anyone else experienced this sort of pain on first ovulation, thanks for reading xxxx

I had really bad pain too my first month off of birth control pills. I think it was ovulation pain, but not sure. It never hurts to go to your doctor if you are worried. Mine was so bad I almost passed out. It came and went a few times a day. Is yours constant or does it come and go?

Clara, I stopped taking bc last month and ovulated within my first cycle. The things that happened with my body are so perplexing. I had those terrible twinges on and off during the whole month, my boobs grew half a cup size and were tingly and painful. I also was so nauseas that I threw up more than once. I could have sworn I was pregnant! Unfortunately, AF showed up this morning, so now I know it was just the evil bcp. Haha. I hope this helped you to feel you are not alone.

Hi Clarabellas,

I know this post was a few weeks ago, but I just came across it and thought I'd check in. I had that same pain after I came off of the pill in February, and I've been getting it every cycle since. I'm in my 4th cycle ttc now. It does worry me that I have intense and long duration ovulation pain, and I'm thinking about seeing a doctor about it...

How has your cycle gone since this last post?

Yes I had this last time I came off the pill to ttcno2! about 20 days after i took my last pill I had pains in my right side that doubled me over, I was feeling sick, migraine and boobs hurting! also tmi my down below was swollen and this was 14 days before AF so presume I was ovulating! Next cycle it wasn't so intense but I still had pain in my side (left that time).

I have just come off the pill again so am waiting for this pleasure again, lol

2nd cycle and wow, sore rather than sensitive bb's for over a week, since first high reading on cbfm, low down cramps since saturday, tired like nobody's business when trying to teach my aerobics classes today and constipation since saturday as well......but, temp is absolutely normal!! arrghh!!

so, possibly body gearing up for the big 'o' on saturday, but it didnt happen, so symptoms still there until i come on (which happens last month) or maybe ovulate again?

keeping on with the poas just in case!!
