LP, OPK, and general TTC questions. Help?

Ok, so, here's the deal. I've got PCOS and on metformin. Also have a thyroid problem, and on medication for that.

I've been keeping track of my cycles since i started on Metformin (before I was having 120+ day cycles!). Now I know OPKs don't mean you ovulate, but assuming I did..... doesnt the fact I got OPKs about 10 days before AF was due mean my LP is about 10 days long? and isn't it supposed to be longer than that?

+ OPKs on 2/25 and 2/26 (CD 27 and 28), and again on 3/26 and 3/27 (CD 20 and 21)

Dec. 24, 2011 37 days
Nov. 15, 2011 39 days

What kind of testing should I ask my doctor about? I've had thyroid and prolactin, but nothing else. I'm changing doctors as mine says there's nothing more she can do. Its been over 6.5 years, and I'm already 28. the doc said that since I've got problems now, I probably wont have much of a chance after 30. OH is 47, and has 5 kids from a previous relationship, so they're assuming he's "not the problem here". I got pregnant - naturally - in 2010 and it ended in a MC. At the time I wasn't having AF.

Any advice and input is very welcome!
