I have PCSO And cant get pregnant

Hello there I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on getting pregnant or anyone else has similar issues getting pregnant can cheer me up, well in July 2010 I was diagnosed with PCSO after going 7 months with no bleeding! I was told for these seven months I was not ovulating at all! And that I have minimal chances of conceiving naturally or even having children, So I went on the Pill for 18 months and came of at the end of November 2011 which I then had my first bleed end November which I believe was a withdrawal? Anyway after this I bled early January 2012 and again mid February Making my last to cycles 49 then 40 days which I assume Ovulation was around day 20ish? So after my bleed in February I started to use Clear Blue digital ovulation tests and I got a smily positive on an LH surge on 7th March 2012, And ive not had a period since, Some pregnancy symptoms, Ive gained half a stone in weight and have firm tummy and what looks like a bump appearing So I guess my questions are If anyone could help please? Would be very much appreciated:

Could I be pregnant Im on Day52? Would a bump be showing as Nurse told me on the phone I would be about 7 weeks pregnant today? If an LH surge is detected on these ovulation test does that mean that hormone forces my ovaries to ovulate meaning I have deferentially ovulated and have a strong chance of being pregnant right now? Did anyone else have similar issues in getting pregnant with the condition? And if my LH surge was on day 15 does this mean my cycle would of been around 30 days this time rounds, resulting in me being 3 weeks Late? And lastly if you have an hormone imbalance due to PCSO can this affect home pregnancy tests picking up the HCG hormone as effective? I know its a lot to ask but im worried and find it so hard to get pregnant is making me devastated, would appreciated your time and support,

Need lots of Baby dust....

Sorry I cannot give advice specifically on your situation, but I can tell you that detecting an LH surge does not mean you definitely ovulated. It just means your body was trying to ovulate, but it may not have. The only way you could have known if you definitely ovulated is if you were temping.

I had trouble understanding your post, because I know little about PCOS, but I agree ^^ that you can get a positive ov. test, and not ov. I also know that PCOS can cause ovulation tests to be positive more often.

Finally, if you are thinking that you could be pregnant, then have you tested with an hpt? I would! I'd go get a First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, and see if it's positive.

Lots of to you!

Thank you!! Im sorry you had trouble reading my post.

I tried HTP tests and with a cheaper brand but are ment to have a better sensitivity than first response I had two lines on two of them, but the second line was extremely faint, this was the 1st and 2nd April 2012 since then there all negative but My tummy is firm and looks like there is a round bump appearing...

Hmmm. Have you gotten an hCG blood test? That's what I would do. I'm not really sure though. I wish I could help. But hopefully, more ladies will be around to help. Want to add...welcome to B&B! This is such a great place for support.

On CD52, you wouldn't have a bump anyway, as the bean would be tiny (if you ovulated around March 7th), not much more than a group of cells. I am also not sure how you could be 7 weeks pregnant, if you ovulated on March 7th.

On your cycle that was 49 days long, you would have ovulated around day 35 or so, luteal phases (phase after ovulation) are typically 12-16 days long. So no, I dont think you would have O'd on CD20

Hugs Honey.

As previous poster said at 7 weeks you wouldn't have a bump yet. I think I was about 16 weeks before I started to show with DS.
However with PCOS you should speak to your Doc and ask for a referal as you are unlikely to get pregnant without help. That said it's not impossible for you to get pregnant it is all about catching that egg when it happens but if you are only having a period every 7 months you can assume your only ovulating every 7 months so even say your ovulating twice a year that's only 2 chances to get pregnant instead of the more normal 12. My sis had help for her first and concieved her second natually while on the waiting list.

Thanks hun!

Well after the seven months they put me on the pill so I dont know when I would of ovulated with being on the pill after 18 months of being on it I came off to try for a baby in November 2012 Ive had a Period end November beginning December and mid February but not one in march, but 7th march I got a positive on my ovulation test, my last bleed was 22nd February 2012 so Last 3 periods were quite regular ever month. Strange after just having the pill?
