it is possible to O when your bleeding... Just like every woman is different, so are her hormonal balances and hence her menstrual cycle. Though there are generalities on which some ground basics of menstruation and pregnancy can be formed, but eventually it all boils down to individual physiology. So, yes, you can get pregnant during your periods.

There is a definite chance that any woman can get pregnant during her periods. Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are usually low during periods, they exist for all women. During periods, the chances of pregnancy are comparatively lower at the onset of a woman’s period and increase just after her periods. The truth is that there is no predictable

I've been using the CBFM for past 3 cycles - I am also on CD 6 today and have got 2 bars on my CBFM (Which indicates estrogen is being produced in the ovaries by developing egg folicles)
The 2 bars indicate that you are approaching your fertile time and you should start DTD from about now. (every second day is what I do until I get peak then its every day for 3 -4 days )

- the LH gives the Peak (3 Bars) on the CBFM which predicts imminent ovulation (next 12-48hours after first peak)

My cycles are usually about 25-26 days and I get my Peaks on or abount CD10 -cd12.

Found this online might explain better:-

During your pre-ovulation or proliferative phase, estrogen levels rise in correspondence to the growth of follicles in your ovaries. This rising level of estrogen triggers endometrial cells in your uterus to reline the uterine wall. Within two days from the end of menses, the uterine wall is fully resurfaced. Between now and ovulation, the endometrium (uterine lining) will thicken from around 1mm at the end of menses to about 6mm by ovulation.

The CBFM does not always have 2 Bars on CD6 for everyone - it is dependant on each woman and their cycles -Is this your first month using the monitor and what are your usual cycle lengths??

Oh that is probably why your getting high this early as the monitor is just getting to know your cycle. It does this sometimes in the first use and you may get the high reading for 4-5 days before you get your peak. From next month the high will probably come later on as you have 30 day cycle.
But I think you should dtd from now anyway, good luck!

You should do - with a 30 day cycle you will probaby get peaks (3 bars) somewhere around cd12-16 (usually only 2 days of peak reading then)
The second cycle will probably be more accurate with less number of high days (2 bars) before peak.

I've always got the peak readings but I've read here that some users haven't gotten peaks - sometimes that may be due to PCOS or using clomid or other fertility meds.
I just started temping this month as I want confimation that I'm ovulating - the CBFM only confirms that the body is preparing itself for ovulation but doesn't actually confirm it. Another thing to add to the workload!

I assume you mean an OPK was positive? It's totally possible you ovulated this early in your cycle. I have ovulated on CD7 before. It was a fluke, but it has happened to me.
