My husband and I have been actively ttc for over a year now, with several recurrent miscarriages. Today, I have just found out that I am miscarrying, again.
This time we made it further than we ever have with any of the previous pregnancies (4 weeks 3 days) by adding DIM throughout my entire cycle to regulate excess estrogen, and high doses of progesterone (suppositories + oil taken sublingually & on skin). Each and every one of my previous pregnancies has ended around the date of my expected period. If not the day of, a day or two later (I started spotting with this pregnancy on 16dpo and then again on 18dpo, tests getting fainter until negative on 18dpo). I took extra DIM & over 1,000mg of progesterone during the tww and after, yet my levels still began to drop at about 13dpo (adding extra progesterone only stopped the spotting on 16dpo for a day and a half). I could feel the babies starting to detach, as I always do right before a miscarriage. I have tried everything, from supplements to prescription progesterone, and yet my body does not want to give up having periods.
Has anyone else had this issue where their "time of the month" is so relentless, that even high doses of progesterone and regulated estrogen doesn't stop it from coming (and lowering levels on its way)? Can anyone offer advice?
With my chemical back in September, AF still arrived for me when it usually did even while still taking progesterone. I tested positive on a Monday at 9ish DPO, the line grew darker through Thursday but was inconsistent. Then I decided to wait until my blood test the next week. I cracked tested again on Sunday and the line was barely there. I took 200mg of P through Sunday, blood test on Monday showed a level of just 0.7ng/ML and hcg under 5. I was told that it was likely a false positive and that it was strange to have such a low P while still on supplements with no explanation offered. I know the odds of getting +hpts on 4 different brands (2 ICs, 1 frer, and 1 digital) and then to have the frer line get darker over several days is low unless I really was pregnant, so the whole false positive thing angers me...but *sigh* for whatever reason I did not get to keep that baby. I went through a missed miscarriage about 7 months prior to the chemical. The next month I was under the care of an RE. She diagnosed me with subclinical hypothyroidism causing low P and low E2 in my LP. She put me on levo, as well as E2 after O on top of the P. I conceived that cycle and she monitored me throughout first tri upping my dose as needed. I am now 21 weeks along with my rainbow and hopeful I'll get to meet this baby in July. All the best to you. I hope you find your path to your baby soon
