TTC after loosing our boy at 16 weeks

Hi ladies

Iím dipping my toes in this section very cautiously. In December last year we were very shocked to find out we were expecting a surprise baby. Myself and my husband already have 6 and 7 year old boys and were never planning anymore. After the initial shock we were very excited about the new addition and starting planning for a life as a family of 5. Unfortunately at 16 weeks my scan showed no heartbeat (our 13 week scan he was jumping about all over the place and hey couldnít even get measurements) sonit came as a huge shock. I then went through what was without a doubt the worst thing in my life. Our beautiful little boy was born on the 2nd March, he was tiny but simply perfect and we named him Aspen. Over the past few months we have been dealing with his funeral and post-mortem results etc. It showed that there was no rhyme or reason for it and that he was a perfectly healthy wee baby 😪

Now we have found ourselves with empty arms and broken hearts and think that we should consider trying one more time.
So here I am, Iím currently on CD3, however Iíve decided not to start ttc until next month as I donít really want a January baby (we have 13 babies born in jan in the family). I would technically be due February but both my previous living pregnancies ended in csection at 36 weeks.

Itís been a long time since I actively tried to conceive so any new news or tips would be very welcome and I would love to meet some ladies to follow on the ttc journey as Iím pretty sure I will need all the support I can get. Iím also a bit older at 38 so Iím worried I might not fall as easy.

Thanks for reading

I couldn't read without responding. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how heartbreaking, especially since you were given no answers.

Wishing you lots of good vibes and good thoughts on your journey to conceiving, and of course, a happy and healthy 9 months

I'm so very sorry hun. I have been in that position twice over and its awful. I just concentrated on making myself as healthy as possible and telling myself we WOULD have a beautiful healthy baby...and we did. Also keeping busy helped. Ttc wise, opks and temping helped me feel more in control of where I was in my cycle. Best of luck x

I have replied to you on the TTC thread but want to reply to you here too.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby boy

I lost my first baby boy Leo in 2014 due to cervical issues, then I had my rainbow in 2015 at 31 weeks by emergency csection, then lost my twin boys Owen & Milo in 2017.

We are in a very similar position at the moment I hope we can support each other through TTC and our Rainbow pregnancies feel free to PM me at any time. Xx
