Progesterone Cream for Reoccurent Miscarriage?

Ive had my second miscarriage in a row 11/20.
Just started my period 2 days ago. Now I'm on cycle day 3, on Clomid 100mg-taking it days 1-5.

My question is.. Is anyone with reoccurent miscarriages have taken/or taken natural progesterone cream to help reduce the risk of miscarriages? Or does anyone know about it?

I know that my dr told me he would prescribe it to me once I begin to be pregnant, but I fear that it won't be early enough but to start on my own. So I was doing a little research..

I have PCOS as well :/ what do you ladies think?

I've had three miscarriages and I was wondering about this too. I hope someone has some insight.

Hi, I use it from Ov to about day 25, to help keep progesterone levels up in case I fall pregnant. I've had 3 losses, and have meds prescribed for recurrent loss(including progesterone suppositories) but am not to start them till I get a bfp. So, I like to use the cream as extra support before. You have to stop it to get your af tho, so either stop it on the 25th or test early and continue if you get a bfp. You can use it during your pregnancy, I know for sure up to 12 weeks, after you'd wanna check with doc. I'd also let doc know you're using it if you get a bfp! Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. My cycles are about 26/27 days (pre mc's) so would I have to stop the cream a bit earlier then?

I use it, but also used it during the pregnancies I lost. I have however used more this time & made it to the 2nd tri!! I dont think it's solely down to the progesterone cream though, I also take extra folic acid & baby aspirin. If you do decide to use the cream you don't need to stop it to get AF, I have read that it can delay it but it definately didn't delay mine. If you stop & you are pregnant just slow rising HCG it could cause problems. I'm still using mine now as too scared to stop!!

Pinksmarties - yeah I would stop it sooner then. As another poster said, it doesn't always stop af (it does delay mine quite a bit), but from what I've read, it's best to stop it, and you def can't take it pre-ov or it'll stop ov! As you have shorter cycles, you'll have to stop it sooner, maybe 3 days before af is due. But test, first, as the poster above said, if you are pregnant, it's important to keep using it. My losses haven't been from low prog either, but I feel it helps my cycles, pms and in case I get a bfp before starting the supposies.

I am taking testing on Tuesday husband and I both to see if we have any chromosonal issues, and blood clotting disorders.. But it takes so long for the results to come back and we have tricare, so that takes longer yet..

He told me that the did want to put me on progesterone, but I just want to use the cream as a safety net, But I cant find it anywhere. I was about to go to the GNC and get the one there.. But I wanted to see if anyone had any BFPS with it..
