Too light of period cause miscarriage?

I found out this week that I had a miscarriage.
The period that I got pregnant after was extremely light. I had also just quit taking my birth control pill.

So my question is, could the fact that my period was so light contribute to the miscarriage because the baby was not able to properly implant itself?

I got pregnant the month I got off nuvaring. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I asked my OB if the fact that it was because I wasn't ready because I just got off b/c and she said that getting pregnant right off b/c can lead to chemical pregnancies because you body isn't ready to hold on to a baby but if you make it past 5 weeks shouldn't have had anything to do with it. Mine was a 8 weeks but the baby stopped developing at 6 weeks. She said that it was most likely due to chromosone abdnormality but there is no way of knowing without tests and she said it wasn't nessisary since it was our first pregnancy and miscarriage.

I was at 5 weeks when it happened. It sounds like maybe that is what happened.
Thank you for the information.
Makes me feel hopeful for the next try!

You're welcome. Just for a side note my friend got pregnant just two months after her miscarriage and had a healthy baby girl.
