Cycles messed up after mc = (

Hi everyone!

Is any1 else having strange cycles after a loss? I had a natural mc on 6th dec at 10weeks. My first af after mc came 6 weeks later, then the next cycle was 29 days! So I thought my cycles were getting regular again (was always 28 days before mc)
My last period was 14th feb... So I'm currently on day 35 with no sign of af! I took a test yesterday n got BFN
I had cramping On days 30- 32 with thick White cm (sorry tmi) so cud that b implantation?

So confused!

Em x x x

I'm not sure if I am going through the same thing, but it's possible. I had an early miscarriage, then my next cycle was right on time, but then I BDed and started bleeding on day 17. I thought it was implantation bleeding but it could just be a messed up cycle even though I thought I was back on track. I'm thinking that it might just take longer to reset for some women?

Tallie, I'm in the same boat...2nd cycle after MMC, day 22 and no ovulation yet. I have been using the amazon cheapies too, worked for me the first time, but so far no positives. I had a late diagnosis too (12 weeks), and nine weeks for AF to show after that. I did a lot of googling...seems that cycles can be irregular for a few, hang in there, opk if you can and try to catch the eggie next time around!

hey girls... had my dc only 3 weeks ago, still waiting for the witch to show up.. what i was told is that mc messes up your cycles and your hormones for several months afterwards, and that i can expect really anything, even if i was regular before...
...so i googled a bit and found some herbal remedies, started taking this tea yesterday and let's see what happens.

and i have one question for you: how was your 1st af like? i heard quite some girls say it was more painful and usually with cloths (sorry tmi i know)... i just wanna know what to expect.

My first AF was very heavy, but lasted just under four days. I had some spotting on and off for about two weeks after. I had a couple of small pieces of tissue, but no clots. I think the tissue was the reason it took so long for AF to finally arrive....had a methotrexate injection to try to bring down hcg levels, then AF three days later. From what I've read, though, seems first AF is different for everyone.

What kind of tea are you using? I am also taking vitex to try and regulate my cycle.

Hopefully AF shows for you soon!

I am on my first AF right now and I noticed a lot of clots. I usually have very few and the first day was lots of tissue and clots. I had a natural miscarriage so maybe it was cleaning it all out. I'm on day 2 now and I don't notice any clots or tissue today so I suspect it is all clean now!!! hahaha! Not any more painful than usual for me and not any heavier just the clots and tissue stuff. Not sure if having a d&c would make af more painful but I would expect it to be different than what you are use to.

thanks girls! can't wait to go to my ob/gyn, maybe she can tell me if i'm ovulating or not and if af is on the way..

regarding the teas, i am drinking a cup of lady's mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) twice a day, one in the morning one in the evening. it is 1 teaspoon of tea covered with 1 cup boiling water and left sit for 5-10 min. they say you should drink it sip by sip. it tastes nice also. ah, no honey, no sugar, milk or lemon added.

this should regulate the cycle length, the luteal phase length and all, and then when i get a green light for ttc from my ob/gyn (depending on how the post d&c recovery is going), i should add to that 1 cup of common horehound (Marrubium vulgare tea), to drink only in the week when the ovulation is supposed to be, as it should help it kick back in easily.

i'm supposed to take them for 2 cycles at least (until the 1st af arrives and the one that follows) , 3 is better. it takes a lot of discipline but they do help as far as i've heard. gonna keep you posted on this.

ah and lady's mantle has a nice "side effect" as it should help get rid of those 2-3 extra pounds we're left with after this experience.
