Hey guys, I'm currently on CD 9 my cycles are 30 days long. I'm 23 years old I have been ttc for 11 months for baby#1, was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 months ago, I use OPK's and Fertilaid. looking for a TTC buddy who is roughly in the same situation as me, please let me know! It's so much better when you have support!

Hi smileymiley! I'm sort of in a similar situation here. I'm 27 and have been TTC for 13 months. I also have PCOS but I don't have regular cycles. Lately they have been anywhere from 60-100+ days. I'm waiting on some fertility test results and then onto clomid if everything goes well with the results. I'm currently on CD 14 and just waiting for ovulation or my follow up appointment with my obgyn at the end of the month.

Yay!! my first ttc buddy lol I'm not having regular cycles atm they're normally 30 days but I just had my first period in 10 months. I was referred to an endocrinologist today for some drugs but I would love to conceive naturally... how bad is your PCOS and are you still actively trying?

I'm still actively trying. I seem to still ovulate based on my temperatures but it is just really late, normally after CD 60 or so. I'm hoping that Clomid will help bump up ovulation for me since at this rate we're not getting very many chances and the egg quality at such a late time is probably not good at all.

What kind of drugs are they going to be putting you on?

they said either metformin or clomid but have to run a few more blood test, my PCOS isn't too severe my ovaries are clear its just a hormone imbalance so hopefully i'll get my BFP soon when are you starting clomid?

Sounds like me. I don't have any cysts but my LH and FSH levels are opposite of what they're supposed to be. We just had my 2nd ultrasound and blood test and I had my first HSG to check my tubes and hubby had a SA. I go back in on the 27th to go over the results and come up with a plan. I already know my HSG results since my obgyn did the test and told me the results there, tubes are clear. So, assuming the other tests come back with good results (hubby's SA is really the only test we haven't already had done before) I should be getting a prescription for Clomid at my appointment on the 27th.

Do you chart your temperatures or use OPKs?

I do both hehe but I sometimes forget to temp but I definitely do OPK I'm currently doing one a day, I think I'm about to O soon as cm is getting watery (soz for the tmi lol) but I usually get a good EW consistency, I thought I had a positive OPK the other day but it was only CD8 which is wayyy too soon I took a photo so I might put it on here when I get home from work and maybe you could see what you think? what about you OPK or charting? do you use ff?

I use FF to chart. The link is on the ticker in my signature. I tried OPKs but they don't really work for me, I'm guessing since my cycles are so long. I get a lot of almost positives throughout my cycle so there is never a really good progression.

wow your cycles are long, i'd show you mine but i've only just started so theres not much to see lol.
I don't think OPK's really work for me either I never get as dark as the test line, except this one on CD 8 was pretty close and I always get a line thats usually the same colour every time so once I've finished this lot I have I wont get anymore, or I might try a digital because its a definite yes or no but they're pretty expensive
do you take anything special like herbal tablets or soya?

I tried vitex and soy. Soy didn't do much for me and Vitex tasted bad so I gave it up too. I've heard cinnamon can help with PCOS if you're insulin resistant too. Plus it tastes good. I think I'll go back on that, it seemed to make keeping my weight in check a little easier but I didn't keep up with it.
