Hey all! Long time no hear. Hope you are all doing well. Jchic - so sorry to hear about your diagnosis - I hope the IUI is sucessful for you.

Winter - yay that you are trying again, have my fingers crossed its not for long!

1Macquade - How are things gonig with you?

Things are ticking along for me, starting to get a bit more uncomfortable and definitley a lot more tired these days. Still feels like ages away but in reality the next 12 weeks will probably go quite quickly!

Look forward to catching up with you all again soon! Anyone doing anything for easter?

Hey how is everyone? Its so quiet on here. No one has been on for ages.

Well AF is in full flow for me today. So now Im going to be going onto cycle 9!! (there have been a few months where we avoided bd'ing on purpose. This was the 1st cycle where I consider myself to be "trying trying" with temping and lots of Bd'ing. The other times where more NTNP however I still am feeling stressed that Im heading toward that year mark!

How is everyone?

Hey all,
I have finally made my way back on here after some time away to deal with health stuff.

JCHIC I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I hope that the interventions get you that BFP soon!
Winter - I am sorry to hear that things are still not happening for you. Fingers crossed that you BFP is here before the 12 month mark comes. I am sure things will fall into place now that you have had some time to rest during your break.
Waiting2C - I am glad to hear that your pregnancy is going well - very exciting.

AFM, like JCHIC I have also been given a tentative diagnosis of endometriosis, pending a laproscopy next month. At this stage we have been told that the approach will probably involve flushing my tubes plus the laproscopy to laser away the endometiral lining that is currently growing on my ovaries and causing haemoraghing and swelling there. We have been told, that the 3 months post surgery is our best chance of conceiving and (depending on what the specialist thinks) we may also be put on clomid at this time to help produce a strong ovulation as the endo can cause production of unviable eggs.
My husband still hasn't had a sperm analysis so that will also be done next month when we see the specialist to make sure that all is well there. If the sperm test comes back poorly our only option will be IUI and IVF. - but we will cross that bridge if we come to it.
It is sad and upsetting - but at least we know what we are up against. I have been told that 17% of women with endometriosis will fall pregnant without intervention within 3 years so I suppose there is still a (very slim) chance that we could fall this cycle while we are waiting for our appointment... but it is pretty unlikely. I am on cycle day atm and feeling pretty crap so thinking of TTC is not high on my agenda, but I suppose we will see how we feel as the cycle goes on.
For those of you stressing about time - we are now on cycle 20!! This brings us to 2 years in terms of preparing to TTC (I went off the pill at easter of 2010 as part of my prep for conception - who knew that 2 years later we would still be waiting for our BFP).
Baby dust to you all!!!

Hi all!
1mm & jchic, the one good thing is that you have had a name put to what's going on which means you can devise a plan on how to help. And remember there is still lots of hope! I actually have a girl in my office that is one week ahead of me and it was a surprise baby for her as she was diagnosed with endometriosis too. I believe she had the laser procedure done but was not taking any drugs. Keep your spirits up.

Winter, breaks are good! How are things going now??

Waiting, hey preggo! How's week 31 treating you? I can't believe you're so far along already. Would love to see a bump pic!

As for me, all is good! Baby is doing awesome. He's been good to me too as I've had a great time so far. No sickness, exhaustion is much better, weight gain is fine, everyone is happy. And I don't know if I mentioned before, but we are expecting a boy!

Hope everyone else is doing well! Would love to hear!

Hey all,

1mm - I am sorry that you are having so many issues regarding TTC, when are you meeting with your specialist again to organise the surgery etc? I want it to all work out for you!

Prepping - Great to see you on here again! I have a journal in my siggy that has bump pics etc in it :-) do you have a bump pic to show off yet??

Jchic - how are you getting on?

Winter - I see you are waiting to ovulate, fingers crossed this is your month!

Hope everyone is doing okay, would love to hear from you all again soon!

Hey all - I can see its been a long time for everyone, but I thought I'd put a message up just in case anyone still checks this.
Not much happening for us, we had our first appointment with the fertility specialist last month and they did the usual 50million tests and we have a follow up appointment next month to get results back and do the sperm analysis. We are still talking about the surgery but the ob is keen to wait until we have all the results in before we jump into the more invasive procedures. This is cycle 21 for us and the 2 year mark is looming ahead. I have pretty much given up on conceiving naturally although we do make the effort to use the opks and BD during our fertile time just in case. Its just that I don't test any more for pregnancy and I don't have that nervous tension now like I used to. I expect to fail so the monthly grief is no longer a problem. It is ok though, because at least we are at the point where we will be getting some intervention soon, so fingers crossed for that.
Prepping and Waiting - I hope that the last part of you pregnancy is going smoothly. I can only wish that I had experienced your quick success and ongoing good health. Hopefully, one day this century, my turn will come.
As for the rest of you girls - for those of you who still check this forum - good luck! I hope you all get your BFP soon.
Fingers crossed that we get ours before the 2 year mark - although even that date doesn't freak me out so much any more.
Baby dust x
