Love life drama

I've had a search and couldn't find a thread on this dram that finished on Thursday, but apologies if it's been covered.

Did anyone watch it? I really liked it, but I felt the last episode was really rushed and a bit unrealistic that the wife who couldn't have kids, all of a sudden pulled herself together and could hold Arthur without breaking down. Also, i didn't think Lucy would let the wife hold Arthur after she had tried to get custody of him. I wouldn't let her near him!! It's a shame as the previous episodes were great.
