I posted this in the Baby Names section, but thought I may get some replies from here too, as I probably won't have much more time dwelling on babies' names.
Ok, so we finally decided on the two first names: Madeleine and Sophia. The second name took about 7 months to decide on! Now the problem is the middle names. The last name is Dahlen, and my big concern is the initials. For example, the middle name can't start with an A, because than the initials would read MAD and SAD. So, I'd prefer the middle names starting with a consonant, not a vowel at all.
I kinda like classic names like:
Madeleine Claire Dahlen
Sophia Marie Dahlen
Please let me know what you honestly think of these names, but I am very open to suggestions on the middle names.
I think the names you have picked out are great! I really like Sophia Marie. For one of our girls we are going with Lea (Lee). Thats my middle name so my hubby wanted one of the girls to have it. I think it is a very common middle name but could fit with one of your girls. Is there anyone in your family that you can pass down a middle name from that would sound good with the girls names?
Not really... My family is mostly Russian, and all their first names are kinda... Not nice sounding. Except for my mom's, here name is Elena, but we feel like we already incorporated her name into Madeleine's name (The "eleine" part). The babies' last name is Norwegian like their brother's. My son's name is Erik Bjorn Dahlen - 100% Norwegian. However, I really like French names (but also international), and I want to stick with the same French "theme" in both girls' names. Hope it all makes sense.
I really like the name Alexandra or Amelie, but can't use an A name for a middle name for the reasons in my original post. Also like these with Sophia: Renee, Isabel, Katherine, Victoria.. To give you some idea on other options I was thinking.
