What's the longest you've coped by yourself for?

In a couple of weeks my hubby is going away for work for 5 days. Normally my mum would pop in most days but she is also going to be away so I won't have act help at all. I have nearly 2 year old twins and a 4 year old (eldest will be at school 3 of the days). Any tips for what to do? I've arranged to see friends with similar aged kids for 2 of the days

Can you let me know the longest you've coped with your multiplayer without any help whatsoever. Hopefully it will give me some encouragement!

Thanks x

Back in February when the twins were 6months my dh was deployed for 6 months. I took care of the twins our 2,5, and 7 yr old and farm by myself. My aunt came by one a week for two hours so I could go grocery shopping. For the entire time. We have almost no family friend support here. I wouldn't want to do it again. But I know I can do it. currently dh is away again we are ¾ the way through our second week.

I've been a single mom since before the boys were born, so I take care of them and my 4 year old son on my own.

It's hard work at times, but absolutely doable.

My husband has always worked away. My son was 2 and my daughters 2 weeks old when he left for 6 months. I was on my own. I also returned back to work after 3 months. It's tough but it gets easier and it's totally worth it!

I've always been a single mom. I have a 4 year old, 3 year old and now 7 month old twins. I actually find it almost easier to be on my own then when people try to help. I just have a routine down and if the routine gets off, then the kids get cranky and things start rolling down hill from there.

Just keep to your normal routine as much as possible and things will be fine.
