I don't need to google it - just think about it!

Not impossible, just improbable Forgodsake. If one of a set of identical twin boys has a disorder called "Turner's syndrome", their XY "male" chromosomes can change early on after conception. They loose the Y (male bit), and have XO chromosomes, making them biologically female, and they are born a girl. Thus it is techinically possible to have identical boy/girl twins - and has in fact happened. Those children need hormone therapy later in life to induce puberty.

Curiosity alone whould have made me want to check out Laura's claims before dismissing her. Remember, knowledge is power

Ok - I accept this

I did in fact google "boy/girl identical twins" before I made my last post to be met with a resounding NO - it's only when you add Turners Syndrome into the search it brings up "the improbable" (but then I am only on my phone).

I totally "get" your knowledge is power statement but on the flip side of that you would imagine the poster who first mentioned it to add slightly more detail rather than make it appear she believed it to be an everyday occurrence.

Anyhoo, either way I'm glad I participated in the thread because I love knowing nuggets of information like this so thank you for enlightening me

OP - sorry for taking this slightly OT - your girls are beautiful.

That's awesome to know for sure! It was such a relief when I got my zygosity testing results from my di/di boy twins. I rubbed it in to my OH for weeks because I knew they were identical. My sister has a set and my grandma had at least one set of identicals. She had 3 sets of twins.
