16 weeks and worried about how big my tummy will be at term!

Ok so Ive been googling it and looking at the bump pics thread... There are some HUGE bumps there, I am small framed and narrow hipped, but my last two babies were nearly 10lb...
How the heck am I going to carry two!!?!?!? My belly will fall off!

Everyone keeps on saying this to me and its stressing me out!

"OMG you are gonna be huge" "You were big enough with just one" "You might have two 10lb babies in there" etc......

Here's a photo of me at 39 weeks with one baby... I just cant fathom doubling it!

Any encouragement/experiences would be great!

You looked brilliant with your last pregnancy and I am sure you will look just as lovely with this one. I was really big with my singleton people thought I was carrying twins!! But with my twin pregnancy I didn't get asked once if it was twins!! It was such a lovely bump and I actually really miss it.

You looked fab in your last pregnancy. As Mia said I'm sure you will again. I was bigger in my singleton pregnancy than I was with the twins! Every pregnancy is different so dont worry about it hun. And ignore people saying stuff to you. Be proud of your bump (when it comes along) no matter what size. After all, its housing two babies, and thats a very special thing. x

Hey Hun, have posted a link below of a thread in which I posted my bump pics at various stages. I do look jaded by 36wks, and it was painful, but I loved every minute. I had a bump belt on from 25wks which hides some of the bump, but you get the general idea

I was probably the size you were at 39wks with one at 28wks with the twins, and my bump was massive by 38wks, BUT as I said before, the stretch marks vanished, I didn't gain any weight elsewhere and it was totally manageable. You look great at 39wks, slim all over with a neat bump

Even if you have large twins, they won't be 10Ibs each hun - the world record was only 10 and 12Ibs and the UK record 8 and 10, so It's more likely yours will be 8Ibs each. You will look fab, you carry babies very well so try not to worry

im sure you will do just fine fine you looked awesome with just one baby and my last son was almost 10 lbs so know how you feel im already starting to show at 13 weeks but im sure youll carry just fine lots and lots of bio oil tho lol

Thanks everyone. Altho I did actually gain around 28lbs with that pregnancy, so I did get stuck with 10lbs of fat after the birth that took a good 6months to lose.
Lizzie your tummy was HUGE! But look, you're alive and happy and healthy with 4 great kids and that's what I'll try and focus on, the whale sized bump wont be forever!

Maybe Ill be one of you that has a smaller bump.... Fingers crossed!
Im already looking the same at nearly 16 weeks as I did at 18 weeks singleton, it's gonna be interesting to say the least!

Your singleton bump was lovely. Twin bumps aren't always huge.. Here are a couple of mine, in order, if I can do this right...

13 weeks, 20 weeks, 37 weeks, 34 weeks and finally, 37+4, the night before delivery

ah what a lush bump journal.

mine looks like a 20wk one at 16 wks, my bump with my son was very big but all bump, yet he was only 6lb 12, o im not expecting big babies this time. but if i dont put these custard creams away itll be my ass that grows big!!!

Yes my ass is growing at the same speed as my tummy!

Nice photos Kaz! Your tummy popped early then kinda slowed down, didn't really look like a twin bump at the end! You carry kinda all over rather than low and so do I so hopefully my tummy wont be all pointy and hanging off like some poor women!!

This is me today at 15+5

I dont feel overly huge but probably a couple weeks ahead of where I was with one baby. My problem is when I hit 30 weeks. Im tidy up till then, then a major growth explosion where the baby goes past the 7lbs, past the 8lbs, past the 9lbs... So it's from 30 weeks on where I'll really be worried lol!

i am only 8+5 but also scared of how I'm going to carry 2! lol Yesterday at my ultrasound both babies measured exactly 9w0d
I am just about 5'3 (almost) and about 123lbs now, I put on about 5lbs even before pregnancy..I'm pretty short waisted, so I'm also nervous... these babys are going to have no where to go but OUT!!! lol
Kaz- was that your first pregnancy? You were tiny for two to be in there!!!
