Im 37 weeks on 28th March so should have my boys end of March/beginning of April providing they don't come early. Get the date next Monday at my next app - eeekk!

How's everyone else feeling. I feel like my body has given up since I started mat leave spd, sciatica, rib ache (from my 2 naughty breach boys).

However at present I'm more than happy to continue with the discomfort to keep on baking my boys xx

Hi

I will be having my babies in the next couple of weeks. (sorry keeping the date a surprise)!

I've got a growth scan tomorrow - so very excited to see how my babies have grown!

I'm not feeling too bad. I am uncomfortable especially in bed! Am also getting alot of BH.

I think my babies are in the same position as my last scan. Twin 1 head down and twin 2 breech. I am having a section due to having shoulder dystocia with my youngest daughter.

Really excited to meet my babies! xx

Good luck at scan today, will they give you estimated weights?

Glad you're keeping well(ish), I've yet to have a braxton hick!

I like the idea of keeping the date a surprise, I plan to do that with friends and family

Let us know how you get on today xx

I just posted something in answer to you in another thread lol. Yep I am still here and will be getting my c-section date today. They told me it would be ca 3 weeks before my natural EDD which is the 18th of April. So not sure when it will be but hopefully after the 23rd as OH has exams the two days before. Are you having a natural birth in spite the breech? If so, hats off to you! Cause my consultant said cause of the breech I should have a section. Might be cause I am over 40 though, not sure. I don't think I have had any BH either, unless that mean lil pain in my lower belly when I walk is BHs? Got to go get ready for my appointment. I will probably blurt the day out to everyone so I will come here and update you too lol. xxx

Hi
Just had my growth scan. Twin 1 estimated weight 5Ib 15oz and twin 2 6Ib 4oz. Twin 1still head down and twin 2 transverse. They seem very big to me especially as everyone says how small I am, and how they were much bigger with one baby. I have now put on approx 2 3/4 stone.
The Doctor thinks I have developed OC as i've been itching loads and my LFT blood test results keep rising, so have to go in for fetal monitoring and repeat blood tests fairy regulary. I have some medication to take also.
Not sure if they do this at your hospital but I go in for steroid shots twice tomorrow, 12 hours apart and twice on Thursday 12 hours apart. Apparently it's quite new to my hospital when carrying twins and having them earlier.
Take care. x

They're brilliant weights 1984 and I'm jealous of how little you've gained. I've gained a similar amount but am a couple weeks behind. Not sure re steroids but can only be a good thing, I take it it's for their lungs

I'll be c section too if they remain breach Angel, twin 1 was always head down so had psyched myself up for natural only for the rascal to turnat 32 weeks. My hospital seem to prefer sections for twins so doubt they'd let me try with 2 breachers - not that would Cant wait to hear when you're having them, the countdown will officially be on xx

Didn't get my date after all! Waited almost 2 hours after the scan to see the consultant but he was away. So in the end I saw a MW and she said since I was scheduled for another scan and another consultant appointment in 2 weeks they would give me my date then. I am scared these lil boys will come before then. I hope not but you never know. How scarily close it all is!
But the scan at least was good. Babies are doing fine and their estimated weight for twin A is 2527g (5 lb 9.13 oz) and for twin B 2390g (5 lb 4.30 oz)
The technician said this is the sort of weight she would expect in a singleton at this stage, so I am cooking big boys here It isn't really so surprising however. Although OH is (only) 5'11, my dad is 6'3 and my brother 6'5.
Oddly enough my boys haven't turned since the 20th week scan, except that the breech twin is now oblique breech. Not sure if that is an improvement though lol. I was told from 28 weeks on that it would be unlikely of either of them managing to turn now. Debbie did your doctor say yours still may?
Yeah and due to me being in the hospital for so long my parking ticket had run out and they towed my car away!! ARGH! Anyway, I am home now and after having a bit of chocolate I am feeling calm enough to phone my mother lol.

Hi Angel

Your weights are very good.

You made me laugh with the parking thing - It's a nightmare. Not as bad as you but I was at the hospital so long this morning it cost me £7.10! The prices here are insane.

How frustrating Angel , suppose 2 weeks isn't too long to wait and if you go in the meantime it'll just mean a emergency c section rather than elective.

Weights are great too Angel. Apparently it's policy in Glasgow not to give estimated weights so I've just been guesstimating from where they are on the percentile chart, ones just below 50th and the other above.

What a nightmare with parking, it's like that at our city centre hospital. When we thought I might be going for a natural delivery DH said I need to do it under 6 hours otherwise the parking would be extortionate xx

Thank you 1948 And as for the parking, I know! But you should see some parking prices in London and you wouldn't believe your eyes! I know one area where an hour costs 4 pounds! It always makes me wonder what they do with the money they take in via metres and fines. It isn't to improve the streets, that is for sure...

Debbie LOL at your DH and the 6 hours! Love it!
Weird that they don't tell you the weight, I wonder what the reason can be?
As for the c-section, I was rather hoping to avoid the emergency one cause I have been told by friends who had that (and also from women on here) that the recovery time from an emc is much longer and that the pain is greater after. Though it seems not as tough as being induced and then needing an emc. So that at least I don't have to face :/ I hope neither of you will have to either? Or have reports been exaggerated?

Btw will you ladies have extra help for the twins other than OH and maybe your mum? My mum and SIL seem to think that it will not be doable without some sort of nanny to help me. I hate the thought of having a nanny in the flat. Our flat is tiny as it is and I want to be able to bond with my boys and not be interfered with. I know I see that a bit extreme but still. I am worried now that I'll be a nervous, sleep deprived wreck after one week as no one has been able to do anything but paint the most awful picture for me
