Just needing to vent

Hi ladies,

I just need to vent. I absolutely love being pregnant. It has been an amazing experience so far. But today, I feel like I am 9 months pregnant! I'm only 4 months, but man, I am having a hard time! The girls are totally pinching my sciatic nerve, and it is making it very difficult to even walk. While going down the steps, my leg gives out, and while driving, I couldn't move my foot to the break because I had no feeling in my leg. It became very dangerous today. On top of that, my blood pressure keeps going up. I am so afraid I will be put on bed rest!!

I'm a teacher, so I need to make it to June. We don't have a maternity leave, so I will need to use all of my sick days when the girls come, then take days off without pay. I really don't want to have to take days off for bed rest. I know if I need it, I have no choice. But I really hope they start cooperating and let me keep working!

Another thing. I hate how people say "Wow you really popped", or "You're the size I was when I was full term". Thank you very much for your kind comments. Yes, I am larger - I have two babies and two placentas inside of me. Thank you for pointing that out because I didn't know I had a belly.

Ugghhh!!!! Sorry, I just needed to vent to gals who understand.

I hear your pain

I am also around 4 months with twins. One or both of them for the last little while have been sitting on or near my spinal cord causing major pain to my hips, tailbones and legs. There has been may times where my legs have been in serve pain or just given out. I am lucky that yesterday they moved to under my ribcage in which now I cannot bend over to pick anything up. You are not alone as I just started a new job a month before I found out I was pregnant and I have to work to the beginning of July to have any kind of benefits. I am so afraid I will be told I have to go on bed rest like I was told to when I was pregnant with my daughter but I also want to work as long as possible because I love my job. It is such a tough situation as you want what is best for your twins but you also need the money to live to support the kids.

It also drives my crazy when people tell me how big I am. I just want to scream at them that I am carrying twins. Even after I tell them I am having twins, they all know someone that also had twins they where not even as close to being as big as I am. There is nothing you can do about ignorance but just smile and nod and walk away before you punch them lol.

Keep your head up and I know that you are not alone. Good luck and if you ever need to vent go ahead.

Hey Virginia momma! I'm from va too! Trust me, it's the hardest thing being pregnant with twins..but you won't even remember it after they are here. I remember not being able to even roll over to get out of bed..and oddly enough, I miss being pregnant! I was miserable from like 13 weeks on. I on,y made it to 29 weeks, but was bigger than I was at 37 with my singleton pregnancy. I couldnt breath, eat or bend over. Relax as much as you can. Just being able ti sit at work really helped me and a belly belt to take some weight off my hips helped to.
