Its so nerve racking. We have had to rethink everything. Been to look at twin travel systems today. Before we knew we were having twins we really liked the iCandy Apple - it looks like we'll now go for the iCandy Pear twin system. Everything is gunna cost a fortune now! Haha. What is everyone else getting? And what about nursery furniture? Do you get 2 cots or one?

We have bought two Moses baskets, and two cot beds for when they move into them about 3 month old. Also two wardrobes! One set of drawer though! We were gonna buy mountain buggy duet but changed out mind at the last second to bugaboo donkey as hubby preferred it!!!!!!!! I wanted the mountain buggy duet though but now love out bugaboo donkey ! Hehe!

I have identical boys. They also shared a placenta with a thin membrane separating them. You will be closely monitored and scanned as they will want to make sure they are both growing enough ( I won't go into it and scare you) but try not to worry, it doesn't definitely mean you'll have problems, just cos tey are mo/di twins. I actually had an easier pregnancy with the twins than I did with my first born! I was induced at 36+3 (would have been 37 weeks as they won't let denticals go any further, but I was already 3 cm dilated so they induced a few days early). I had a vaginal birth with was a breeze! The boys didn't need any help at all ad we were home the next day! My advice would be to try together plenty of rest during this pregnancy (as much as you can with 6 kids!), listen to your body and don't push yourself. Drink plenty of water, eat well (espprotein as it helps with their birth weight as identicals can be on the small side) and stay away from google! We're always here if you need support. Wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy.

i too am having mono di twins, there identical girls, im 21 wks on sunday. i came to this site as id googled identicals and i scared myself silly. this site has bn a godsend.

at my 20 wk scan they were only a gram apart so thats really good. i hope they carry on growing this well. im now feeling lots of wriggles and kicks even tho my placenta is at the front.

its totally normal to be scared tho, i still am every day. im getting fortnightly scans now so they can keep an eye on them.

Massive congratulations!! With any pregnancy it's nerve-wracking but double trouble... eep! Rest assured the iCandy Pear is one of the best doubles so best of luck with everything else!
