I was at my wits end a week ago. They just cried so much, and I wondered if they'd ever just be content. I bought The Happiest Baby on the Block DVD. (There's a book too, but who has time for reading?!) The techniques seem especially relevant for multiples who are usually born a bit early. We've eliminated about 90% of the inconsolable crying. This makes being a twin mommy sooooo much more enjoyable.
Also, there is a white noise app available at iTunes that was developed by a dad of twins. It has been magic for us. It's called "white noise HD".
Now if only there was an app for nighttime feedings....
Yeah my girls weren't really premature (36 weeks +3), but swaddling, white noise and a dark room have done miracles! I can now get both to sleep with very little/no crying by 7:30 and they sleep 6-10 hours before waking for a feed and then they go straight back to sleep until 6-7am. They are 10 weeks old.
