Bugaboo Donkey

Hi everyone,

After finding out last week that we are expecting twins we've been looking at twin travel systems. We wanted a system where we can use their car seats too so had narrowed down our choices to the icandy pear, icandy peach blossom and the bugaboo donkey.

Our favourite by far is the bugaboo as it's so easy to use and much more practical for what we want.

Has anyone else ordered one or have any experience with them?

I know the bugaboo is expensive but so are the icandy's so either way we are gunna have to spend alot of money. We have ruled out the pear now as it's not so easy to steer. We have had quotes for the bugaboo and the peach blossom and the bugaboo only works out at being £140 more expensive.

X

I've got the pear and its practically the same as the peach blossom. The peach blossom has nicer crib bits but have smaller seats. Both of these are difficult to push when the babies are 9 months + and in the big seats.

No experience with the Donkey. It sure is beautiful!

I have the bugaboo donkey and it's amazing. I did LOADS of research before having the twins and pushed just about every buggy available and the donkey won hands down.

I justified the price by knowing i'd never have to buy another buggy (like once the twins are heavier and so harder to push/get up and down kerbs), it's very narrow and the resale value on it will be excellent.

You can also get deals now so the donkey isn't as expensive as you think. You can PM me if you like (i don't get on here much) or reply to this thread with any questions and i'll come back and answer them.

Honestly, the main thing is it's a DREAM to push and get up and down kerbs. I can push it one handed and my 4 year old hangs on to the strap so i can pull her along on her scooter. I love it.

I had the iCandy peach blossom twin but have just sold it! Stunning buggy, but with flaws. The shopping basket becomes non existent with the 2 chairs attached, the space between the 2 seats is very small so its very hard and awkward to get the baby in the back out, the front seat can't go back the full way to lay down as its restricted by the back chair, the back chair can't sit fully upright as its restricted by the front chair. Sorry for the negativity about it, HOWEVER the new generation iCandy peach blossom twin 2 is out this month with all those snags fixed, the chairs have been lifted higher and moved a bit further apart from each other. And the colours are STUNNING! And I don't have any experience however I've heard good things about the bugaboo donkey xx

Donkey is wider with car seats attached, but is brilliant and sleek with the seats/carry cots. I think the car seats add quite a bit to the width.
