When did your twins walk?

My boys are 16 months tomorrow and one of them took his first steps about a month ago and has never really progressed with it since. The other one has absolutely no interest what so ever They seek to be happy crawling as it's easier and quicker!

What age did your twins walk?

I am soooo interested in this thread...... My boys are almost 14 months and have been crawling and furniture walking for months........ They find it sooo much quicker than trying to walk. X

One of my boys started walking a week or so after his first birthday and the other about three weeks after. But they too took a few steps, went back to crawling for awhile, then started walking again. Every child develops at a different pace, so try not to worry. They'll get the hang of it soon. Believe me, it gets alot tougher when they start walking so enjoy it while you can!

One of my boys was 11mths, the other 16mths! Very different. My oldest child (a boy) didn't walk til he was 16mths either, and the slower twin takes after him in temperament. The other twin is my most precocious child to date and does everything early. My second child (a girl) was 'little miss average' and went entirely by the book - she was 16wks premature so should have been behind in theory.

All serves to illustrate how even kids from the same parents, born on the same day can be totally different. One of the many things I have learnt from being a parent to 4 very different children, is that in general milestones don't really matter because they're all exactly where they should be by school age anyway.

Fret not lovely, your boys will do things in their own sweet time lol xxx

I was going to post a similar thread myself. Emily walked at 10.5 mnts which was amazing to see this tiny little thing walking around!! But Sam is still not walking I thought he might start not long after his sister after seeing her walking around but he's got no interest what so ever!!

Mine have just turned 15 months and one has been cruising walking between furniture/people for a couple months but still wont just get up and toddle off. He crawls so fast so i think despite probably being able to he is just happy to crawl. His brother has also cruised around furniture from 10 months but is no where near ready to walk, he still wont walk between people though will walk with walker/hands ect. His feet also turn outwards so cant see him walking yet until they turn the right way lol?? I personnaly cant wait for them to walk, all their trousers are stained from crawing in the garden and i had visions of them toddling around the garden/park in the summer i personaly find the crawling phase harder!
