What is the hardest age?

Hello everyone. I haven't posted much on here so far but I do pop in quite often for tips. My girl twins have just turned 5 months and at the moment things seem to be getting harder rather than easier. I am not sure if it is because my 2 year old is playing up or because we have all been ill but I was just wondering what you all found to be the hardest age? Thanks

I found the first year easy tbh, they dont really do that much at that age, the second year has been a lot harder, and although they say "terrible 2s" I'm feeling optimistic, I found a lot of the reasons my boys were hard was because they were unable to do a lot of things, now they are walking around and have a better understanding of things and find it easier to communicate, they seem a lot happier, therefore life is easier!

My twins are 18 now but I have a very clear memory of their early years. I honestly think they were at their worst aged around 3, probably because I expected them to magically grow out of the terrible two stage and of course they didn't. Don't believe anyone who says they are worse when they are older - they have just forgotten how demanding two and three year olds are.

I can't vote because mine aren't even 8 months yet. I find it all challenging so far!! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change it for the world but with my two year old son as well... arrrghhh its all so tiring and noisy. I had hopes of things getting easier but I'm suddenly not so optimistic lol.
